True black...
There's two problems though:
1) I find roughly 85% of black metal simply ridiculous 
2) What does Ghost Rider have to do with black metal? He's totally heavy or thrash... Black metal, well, is more like:

I don't consider playing the guitar really fast while growling really loud a good music, but that's just my personal opinion. Other kinds of metal are nice, though.

No no no, you got it all wrong. Black metal isn't playing the guitar really fast while growling really loud. It's playing the guitar really fast while screaming really loud.
Growling is more like death metal. This is black. There's a difference...
And besides, the point isn't just in playing the guitar really fast while screaming, it's in doing that while wearing funny makeup.

"Fast"... LOL!
Alot of black metal songs is played not that fast... several of Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth, Satyricon, etc... have slow songs too. And it's an own way of singing, roaring/screaming/growling... all of them are used in black metal. The drums are also VERY important, the drummer has to be extremely strong to be able to play that fast... and if you actually have ears and a brain that can take the power in this music you can hear the music that this is. Not only fast guitar and screaming, it's drums, bass and alot more... most of it also have at least as good meaning as many of the pop-bands and such crap... They also have another look, yes. Because they are supposed to be dark, scary some bands I suggest:

Jazz, blues and techno? Yeah that's all pretty similar
Don't worry Edn, I can comprehend the beauty of Black up to a certain level (one of my friends is a blacker) It's just that, in my personal opinion, it's not really the best that the Metal genre has to offer. But it's fun anyway.
For example, I laughed my butt off when I saw this. And as far as I've heard, Immortal is one of the most tr00 and kVlt black bands on the scene currently.

Dimmu Borgir is the greatest black metal-band these days. With their new album In Sorte Diaboli they ended up on 42th place in USA and as number 1 here in Norway. Their song The Serpentine Offerings music-video had 100000 views the first week at Youtube. (Their music videos is also better than that you posted there )

I've seen that Immortal video before. It still makes me laugh
When talking about metal Iron Maiden tops all other bands although Metallica comes close.

For example, though Metallica is good and I like them, bands like Pantera, Slayer or Black Sabbath can still eat them for breakfast... But again, that's the matter of taste. That's why it's discutable.
