That's only becuse Trogdor neglected to send me the IM required by the rules.

And as for the question...

The reason is very simple, my dear Traughter. My username in Spammers' Community is not Spectrum and not all of the members are familiar with my HC username, so it might get confusing if you called me Spectrum. Clear?

Next question goes out to Homer171: Exactly how much do you spend on DVDs/movies, how many DVDs do you currently have, where do you buy them and what do you plan to do with all of them?

I spend about 50€ on DVD's in a month and i have now 480 DVD titles (473 movies, 7 Series = all full expect only 10 seasons of Simpsons) My Movies. I usually buy my DVD's from shop called Anttila Sometimes i use Huuto.net (finish ebay) or i just buy them directly from the owner but more often i buy them from stores when the price is low 2,99€, 4,99€, 5,99€, 7,99€ or 9,99€ not higher than that, it's my rule.

I have goal of 500 DVD titles for this year but i almost have that already. Maybe 700 at end of year 2008 at this rate. Don't get me wrong tough i do collect a lot but i try to keep some standards. At least +80% of my movies i can consider being good movies but that used to be 100% in some point. Need to sharpen a bit.

There is not much else to do whit them than watch them, now is there? We have movie nights on weekends where we watch few movies whit my cousin and talk about it afterwards. I have dreamed as a kid to have own movie rental shop or having own "theater" where i show good old classic movies for low price. I continue collecting movies, hoping of one day reaching milestone of 1000 movies. Good movies are just so hard to get these days but there are many good foreign directors out there and their works are still undiscovered by me.

Thanks from the good question Spectrum

Okay my question goes for William. How many Tangerine Dream songs have you heard in total? And why TD comes first rather than any other electronic band, and how big influence it's been that your father used to listen Tangerine Dreams?

I inherit my movie likeness from my father, watched all classic westerns before school age and i can say it had big effect what i like today. Is that similar to your story William or is it just chance that you like same music as your father?

Alot to answer there Homer171, but good questions all the same

I think I may have heard over 150 Tangerine Dream songs in total.

TD comes first rather than any other Electronic Band because I like TD's style, the way they play, and the sounds that they can produce.
I guess they were one of the earlier Electronic Bands, and their music is so much more different then any other Electronic Bands.

I just prefer TD because of their music, and the way they can produce basically anything.

It has been an Influence that my dad listens to it because he is the one that keeps getting all the albums I guess, that might be the only reason I have

My Dad actually introduced me to Tangerine Dream, and I remember the first song I listened to by them was Barbakane on my favourite Concert, the Poland Concert, Live in Warsaw 1984 (Actually December 10th 1983).

I really liked them, and then begun to listen to them more and more.

Before that though, my Dad did have an influence on my music style.

In 1997 or 1998, my Dad showed me some Trance music (Anyway heard the band Trance[]Control???), and I really enjoyed that, and then begun to listen to other types of techno and trance music.

Back then though, I did not really enjoy longer songs, like more then 10 minutes long, and the only way I could get techno songs and trance songs and all that, was from CD's that my dad brought home, that had some mp3's on them.

I then begun making music in about 2001 or maybe 2002 or 2003, when I had my other computer that my dad built, and I begun using some basic music making programs.

Then, in 2004 or 2005 I started using FL Studio to create Techno-ish Music, which I taught myself how to use after many failures and difficulties, I finally was able to use it, and I started creating music.

At this stage though, I had not listened to many "real" Electronic Musicians, infact, I do not think that I actually listened to much music back then, but that was soon to change.

Back in early 2006, my Dad was playing some Tangerine Dream, but I did not know what song it was called.
I asked him what it was, and he said it was Tangerine Dream.

Now for a long time, I thought Tangerine Dream was actually a Rock Band, because I saw a DVD of them, and they looked like a Rock Band.

I guess that is pretty much how I was introduced to Electronic music, and as you can see, my Dad was a big influence for me, because without him, then I would probably never have been introduced to Electronic Music.

I guess it is also good that my Dad actually owns some Synthesizers, and now that I have begun to make music using both my Computer Synthesizers (VST's), and my Real Life Synthesizers, I now know what I want to do in life, and that is to be an Electronic Musician.

I do not want to really use many of the Newer Synths, because I prefer the Sounds of the Old Synthesizers, and I do not want to become what TD is now, and they are "not so good" nowadays, because I think they have lost the touch, and they have also introduced a member called Linda Spa who mostly plays the Saxophone, but can also play Synths, but I think the Saxophone gives it a newer feel to it, which is what TD does not need.

If you listen to TD's music back in the years of 1977 to 1985, and then compare that to TD's music from about 1990 to now, then you will see that their older stuff is much better sounding, wel in my opinion anyway.

But yes, my Dad has had a major influence on me, both in listening to the music and actually me creating it.

Hope that answers your questions, lol

Only 5? I want to meet most of them.
On the last question I even described my "vision" of HC convention.

Choosing 5 will be very difficult, but if I have to choose they will be: William, Pandora, Geny, Elvin and Baklava.

William: A good friend. After talking to him so much on the messenger, it would be a crime not to meet him on the reality.
Pandora: A wise and friendly woman that I can learn so much from her. Meeting her would be great, eventhough I doubt I'll ever visit Canada.
Geny: The guy is just so funny, and quite close. Maybe I'll arrange it one day.
Elvin: Another good friend from the messenger that it will be pleasure to meet.
Baklava: I just want to show him how do REAL Baklavas look like. If I ever meet him, I'll go first to the druse village and buy some.

Next question for roy-algriffin:
Tell us about your wanderings; Where have you lived in your life so far, why did you move there (or out of there) and where you liked living the most?

Ah well to answer that question you should first realize im not that old honestly, Nearing 14 years old
Second, you should realize my parents still control many aspects of my life, and in this case my dad is a diplomat for the state of isreal.

Well to start i was born in belguim. Somewhere where they spoke a lot of french i guess. Because today it always gives me a headache even though im supposed to learn it.

Around 3 years old my parents went back to isreal, and it was kinda nice there but it was always too hot. I lots of fun there but i cant remember much

When i was 6 i was taken off to denmark. Its not all that green actually. Only thing i can remember that still sticks in my mind is that i used to fold pizzas to enhance their taste

at 7 i was very hopeful to get back to isreal. Unfortunatly my parents decided (or perhaps they already knew ut didnt want to tell me until a bit later) that we were going to some place called cameroun, in africa .I was there four years and memory starts to get clearer there. I remember becoming a techophile(well i like computers anyway)and playing age of empires and such.

I was very enthusiastic to go back to isreal though. i remember getting the occasional shipment of bamba(peanut snacks) and TV shows.

When i was 10 or 11 or somewhere in between i went back to isreal and spent a few happy years there. Playing WoW and having general fun. And hating school, Honestly wanted that theyd bomb the building sometime and everyone inside would be miracolously saved.Learning a kind of sufficient level of hebrew was really difficult. i still feel more comftorable in english. Im still hoping for a universal language soemday .
At some computer gaming craze of downloading demos and buying games etc i came across heroes and it really was my kind of game. But i had trouble so i found this forum and became a lurker for a while.(a kind of wandering i guess)

And now im 13 and have come to montreal to suffer french , go to a private high school with high expectations and generally miss being back in isreal sometimes. Oh well .

Overall i guess i liked isreal a lot. It really felt like a home. and not a kind of place im being dragged too. Though i guess its not too bad. When it happens so often you sorta get used to it.

Question to Albicaidies ( i think)- Can you pinpoint a rough time in your life you started to like computers? would tou consider yourself addicted?

I'm sorry I missed this one, been having a lot to look after lately.

To answer the question I should say that although I use a lot of time with computers (gaming and/or online) I'm not really a computer geek in the sense that I don't have a big knowledge about how they work etc. My father is, however, as he is a programmer, and I remember that we always had a computer at home, for his work, but also for gaming. The very first games I remember were some extremely primitive ones, like one where you were flying a spaceship and had to shoot different monsters. We always lost the game when we encountered the giants wasps that were really nasty. Seems to me that apart perhaps from the things with the wasps, nothing much had changed in computer-game world since then, really.

This would be late 80'es, and to give you guys an impression of what type of machinery we're dealing with, I remember my dad upgrading to a really powerful 30 MHz processor. Some years later he upgraded to a 90 MHz which was quite a leap. Monitors, of course, were monochrome, black/green I think, and probably not larger than 11".

Some years later I started in an after-school daycare where we had real gaming-machines. Commodore 64, and a couple of years later, Amiga 500's. For those of you who remember these good old days, there were some really good games around back then - at least so it seems in retrospective, although I guess the dimming of my memory might warp things a bit, hehe. I guess this was the time I really became a gaming-geek.

As for whether I am an addict - I will not say I am, but I must admit living without being able to get online for more than a week generally frustrates me. I'm pretty sure I could learn to live without a computer, but it would mean giving up daily things I'm currently enjoying a lot.

I'm pretty sort on time but i try to answer quick. My favorite movie is perhaps Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino. It's just one of those "good feel movies" where you can sit back and enjoy the show and in the end of the movie you can say: "WOW, that was good!" I don't really care how mainstream it is to like QT this day, i liked his work from Reservoir Dogs to this day. I also follow many directors works and if i had to name one of them it would be QT and Pulp Fiction is my favorite of his films so it just comes naturally that it's my favorite film.

If thinking about classic movies one is above all others and that is amazing Casablanca! I truly admire that movie. Again aim Humbrey Bogart fan so that explains quite bit my likeness but this movie is easily his best. Oh shoot gotta go, but i hope that answered your question Alci.

EDIT: Oh yeah my question goes to GenieLord. Inspired from your Shape Shifter status my question is: Who would you want to be if could be anyone in the world, and why is that? (Some weird reason i think you would be very good Dalai Lama )

The person I would like to be is Abdalla Iben Abad Al-Aziz, the ruler of Saudi Arabia. I would like to support and assist the feminist revolution that has been developing in Saudi Arabia recently. If it succeed, maybe other arabian states will be also affected by it...

The next question is for Pan.
