New Location to Play HOMM3
Hi. I am primarily and Axis a and Allies player, but have played HOMM3 back a few years. We in the Axis and Allies community established our own WARZONE to meet and play the game we love when MSN ZONE kicked us out. The WARZONE works very similar to the old MSN zone (but has significant improvments). Anyway, lobbies were created for several of the other games of our era, including RISKII and Toatal Annihilation and a few others. Now, two years later, a new GENERAL PLAYING ROOM has been activated, which will allow players to meet and play any DirectX7 era games they have in common. This includes HOMM3.
To download the WARZONE files, go to www.Axisandalliesworldclub.com and click on the "WARZONE" button on the top bar. From there, find your way to the general game playing room and give it a go. Hope that in the weeks to come, word will get around and we'll be able to get some games going.

How about you come to Gamespy Heroes 3 lobby and spread this info there aswell? You will meet 20-50 players each day...

Good idea. I never made the jump to gamespy - preferring to play Axis and Allies instead, but give it time and I think this new platform will prove to be superior to gamespy. It has a ways to go, but it has been programmed for free by a member of the Axis and Allies club, and he is open to improvement suggestions, which is more than I can say for Gamespy or MSN zone.
The Axis and Allies lobby has plenty of "extras", although the look is maybe average. It is very playable as well. This new room for "other" games will start out fairly basic, but extras will come if the HOMM3 community grows to a reasonable size on it.
By the way - other games like AOEII, clue, monopoly, Several Sidf Meieer games, Panzer general II and many others can be played there as well.
No advertizing! just a community of gamers carving out their own location to meet and play.

BTW - there are usually some modem and or firewall issues that may need settings adjusted before you can play on this zone. Check out the technical issues thread on the AAWC website message board (where you download the warzone files).

I can vouch for air power as well....we both play axis and allies still on this new server.....I will check it out if I can find my old H3 cd....Qu_Purple been harrassing me to play....would be nice to do some old school gaming......hg3,jebus,dw,bb,fest,etc....woah gettin an acid flashback.....heh
