I just saw Deep Purple 5 days ago. They were pretty cool, except they had some technical issues, and Gillian's voice isn't what it used to be.

The coolest concert I saw was Roger Waters - The Dark Side of the Moon, which I saw in April. Now that was a show.

Chris Tomlin: February 2004

Casting Crowns: June 2006

I recently missed a chance to see National Product and Shiny Toy Guns. I'm a fan of the latter group, so it's slightly disappointing. If I'm not mistaken, I might've also missed Fountains Of Wayne. They're such a great band, and to miss them would be unfortunate.

Scorpions (I have no idea why the place wasn't packed, this band is amazing!), Deep Purple, Def Leppard, Nickelback, Slayer, Rata Blanca.

Other ones I saw were John Fogerty, Alice in Chains, Velvet Revolver, Marilyn Manson (only saw him because he was together with Slayer - it was quite interesting to see some people who only accept certain bands leaving as soon as Slayer finished, even though they had already paid for the entire concert).

Also a lot of smaller bands (I don't even remember all of the names): Camelot, Remain, etc.

Hoping to see Metallica some time next year if they decide to go on a tour in North America.

Just reading: mettallica, I forgot that I saw them this summer How embarrising. I wasn't disapointed, but the difference between seing a band on a HUGE STAGE and seing a band on a small stage is so big! because seing bands on small stages is to me way better. You feel more involved and more a fan then standing back in B-cage and looking at a stupid big screen, I had the feeling that i was watching a live DVD with real time sound.

i like smaller gigs with smaller bands, especially if you know them.

however, bigger bands need bigger stages, because i feel that they perform best when they are faced with a huge crowd, because its something that they are used to. I saw metalica this summer as well at wimbly in london (were you at the gig!). the atmosphere was phenomenal! definitely one of the best bands i have seen live. and i saw the rolling stones on the bigger bang tour.
i was a little annoyed that bullet for my valentine dropped out and got replaced by HIM, but the gig was great none the less!

Ok I won't start to tell you why they suck... if you like them it's your kind of music no problem with that but please PLEASE never ever think that they have ANYTHING to do with Tokyo... it's a brat band of some spoiled german teenagers... Japan and Tokyo are nothing like what those fags represent... (didn't say that you belived anything of this but I've met plenty of people who thougth that there actually was a connection I just don't other people to make the same mistake)

For me it was Loud Park here in Japan bigest Metal Festival in Japan

First Day

Megadeth
Ministry
Angra
Anthrax
Arch Enemy
Backyard Babies
Dragonforce
Napalm Death
Opeth
Firewind
Flyleaf
Korpiklaani
Zeromind

Second Day
Slayer
DIO
In Flames
Children Of Bodom
Killswitch Engage
Mastodon
Hatebreed
Lamb Of God
As I Lay Dying
Unearth
The Black Dahlia Murder
Within Temptation
Bloodsimple

The bold one's are my favourites.. btw... IT WAS AWESOME!! And Raunchy is pretty amazing but they haven't made it here yet.

Well it's a shame you didn't get to see them prehaps I'm not that objective as they are my favorite band too but they were sooooo awesome!! Soooo much power!! I mean yeah the others were good but In Flames has this special tune you can't miss~~ Next time you get the chance just go and watch them I mean what's so bad that your parents wouldn't allow you? It's not like they are crazy like Marylin Manson or stuff they just rock!!! But well I guess you get the picture I can stop praising their preformance now

It's the whole festival not In flames. They are good guys. And I love those In flames diary's . (If you havn't seen them, go to their myspace and get in for a laugh!!) .

But well. Roskilde Festival is a bit rough. And yeah its far from my home. so its a rather long trip and.. my brother had a bad experience there. But I guess they are just trying to hold on to their standards, since he was 18 before he was allowed. But I got a plan to get their for free and cheating their rules(The only problems is: I need to win a music competition. which is pretty tough But hey! I have faith!!)

But Good to know they are worth seeing, can't wait till I do get the chance!! I love them.. and their new album! (just read it will be out early April!!) stay Metal!
