Also, Gandi saved the King of the Eagles when he was a fledgeling, and so the Eagles are a Deus ex Machina that get thrown in wherever.

The same is true for Harry Potter movies. I think anyone who read the book may agree that the story in the movie is quite far from that is in the book. Ok, HP 1-2 movies were all right.
And I don't think that warcraft 3 had a such a good story that makes a movie worthy to watch...

I hate to say this but... there will be "real" actors in the the movie. 
Blizzard makes so beutiful cinematics, just look at them!
My personal favorite is the Death of Archimonde when the Night Elves sacrificed there immortality to save the world.
However i dont think the movie will ībe very good.
I mean, when did you see a "game-movie" that was good?
And they will change the warcrafy storyline to!
The movie will be one year before WoW (they dont want to confuse "anti-lore" people).
The orginal idea was to do a Warcraft 1 Orcs and Humans movie, and then make a trilogy (Warcraft 1, 2 and 3), and i think that would have been much better then to change the whole storyline.

Much didnt happen in Warcraft 1 but Warcraft 2, mixed with the books, and Warcraft 3 was really epic and great.
Seriously, before World of warcraft Blizzard really did an SUPER HYPER GOOD job with the story.
The movie will be from alliance-perspective so people will probably think that the Horde is evil (and that is soooooo wrong! The orcs saved 2 races from there doom).
And the main charakter will be a human called Varian Wrynn, in WoW he is the lost king of Stormwind, the last human-controlled kingdom.
Varian Wrynn is featured in a new Warcraft comic-book.

The story is overrated in Warcraft 3. The books are pretty good though. Trying to make a movie out of the actual game will be terrible.

Street Fighter (Kylie Minogue should refuse Cammy White role in that movie causes it ruins her reputations in Hollywood *ngewwwwwwwwwww~!*)

Final F____ (sworn enemy to Might and Magic universe!!!!!!! glad the movie got a big flop!)
Doom! (Even The Rock didn't bring a good reputation to the franchise!)

Warcraft lore was very good up to Warcraft II, but it got a little worse in Warcraft III; I particularly disliked Orgrim Doomhammer turning into a good fellow (he was anti-demonic, yes, but he was power hungry and violently savage most of all), it just ruined the feeling of the character. The peaceful Horde just kind of sickens me, they should have kept them brutal and wild, but making them also honored (honor to the clan that is) and more connected to the land.
In WoW things became just ridiculous: Lothar, Llwelyn and Medivh were made childhood friends, a lot of characters are being made insane just so players can have a reason to kill them. Not to mention the strange new alignments:
Night Elves and Humans (that they can ally in certain circumstances and live peacefully as neighbors is OK, but a full-fledged permanent alliance is weird, as Night Elves are very reclusive, and humans tear down large chunks of forest to build their towns and keep their economies working, while the Night Elves are well-known lovers of plants and the earth. Besides, the NE don't have much reason either to actively fight the orcs.
Orcs and Undead, and Orcs and Blood Elves. I would go into more detail, but I'm kind of tired right now and will take a nap.

Night Elfs have a great reason to fight the orcs.
Corrupted Orcs of the Warsong Clan killed there demigod Cenarius and chopped down their forests, and the orcs still do.
Night Elfs only joined the Alliance to survive.
Im sure that they will be there own faction and not belong to the Alliance in wc4 (if it comes).
However i agreed on the insane part.
Thats Blizzards sad part, they are so greedy.
They make old characters insane just because they cant come up with new good ideas. And almost all employees just says "he/she has epix, end of story".
Only one Blizzrad employee is honest, Metzen.
He even said that he didnt wnat to include Blood Elfs to the Horde (he suggested Ogres) and said that he think that the Illidan situation turned out bad.
