If you want to challenge Mitsu to a duel she would not pass it up. It would also be a one on one duel. If anybody interfeared, they would face Mitsu. Probably Onyx too, who knows how serious honor is.

Don't think he'd want to risk loosing her by trying to 'protect' her. Couple of reasons. He knows she can protect herself. Two he knows if he interfears, and Mitsu wins, he'd have to face her next. Three, he has to sleep sometime...and having a professional assassin upset and sleep just does not get along that well

As far as gold goes, I think we're all sharing the total gold we have. Not sure how much that is.
