@Geny: ROFL. Our game doesn't use Nature and IVs are always maxed, so there isn't as much to learn if you haven't played in a while.

I also kind of got more free time, so thought about RPing more. But first I am going to read myself up on the story.

I'm trying to figure out what to do at this point. Assuming you remembered that Ferroseed was a Steel/Grass and thus Resistant, and had a Defense up, it nearly 1 shot my defensive bulwark. There is absolutely nothing on my team that can do anything at all to that zangoose, cause it's faster than my whole team, and auto-kills my entire team with 1 attack. Ghost typing being immune to Normal STAB isn't even relevant cause it just almost 1 shot my defensive bulwark with a +1 stage boost on a NVE attack, and NVE is more of a decrease than STAB is an increase.
Also no, my Ferroseed does not know endure, Ferroseed doesn't even learn endure at all. My best bet is to let the iron barbs give me the free switch in with damage, hope he doesn't realize Litwick is a ghost type or it's choice banded or some such and thus sticks with Slash, use Confuse Ray, hope he hits himself twice as I switch into Axew and Dragon Rage for the guaranteed kill, or hopelessly try a Flame Burst or somesuch which might be the better option as that might cause a burn and kill. Though he'll assuredly auto-KO my litwick if he gets a second turn. Although if he's Banded or Scarfed then I'll have a guaranteed Revenge Kill.
Though am I supposed to be switching to an ally after my first mon is defeated? I'da felt a little better if I was 1 level higher and coulda hit with Gyro Ball for a STAB 150 BP. That'da at least done something. I wanna know if I'm supposed to switch my mon to another player, and perhaps general advice from the other players, cause it's blatantly obvious to both me and Lyra that unless Hax happens both in his bullheadedness and confusion procs, I'm a dead girl.
Any words of advice while I mill over what to do?

just one: The first opponent this team faced in the RP was a damned Black Charizard. And their starters were all Rattatas/Pidgeys and their later generation equivilants.
They still won!

Eph, I will point out that you're in a theoretically friendly match as far as your opponent is concerned: neither Lyra nor her Pokemon are going to die if you lose, and you didn't even wager money on this fight. This isn't the handheld games; do not expect every fight to be straight up winnable. Just ask gnomes and/or Mytical.
On Endure: I never said she did.* This is, incidentally, the flip side of no one in-game knowing what your Pokemon are or can do.
I will be nice and remind you that if the Zangoose were Choice Banded or Choice Scarfed he wouldn't have been able to use Swords Dance AND Slash without switching out. Additionally, if you do manage to win, your Pokemon are going to get a very healthy chunk of XP for this.
*You will note I roleplay Mina same as the normal NPCs, ergo she is not omniscient and there have been several times where I have had her give bad advice because it would be in-character to do so. In particular she's rather paranoid and her knowledge of Pokemon doesn't extend much past Pokemon from the second Generation. Consider it encouragement for you to roleplay as well, rather than mindlessly follow everything the DM says.

Hehe, I'm just thinking and strategizing, I have no actual complaints. Also been getting bogged down at points with a ton of work. THough yeah it's not banded it used Swords dance, silly me. I will have to think about how I can at least take down the zangoose, cause I don't want the dishonor of being entirely swept without even taking one out.

Oh hey the forum seems to like eating my posts. I'll type up another one, but mid terms right now, and the computer is lagging so I don't 100% trust it to go through right now even if I do type it.
I'm just worried about what kind of mawhile doesn't even take 50% HP from a SE STAB Flame Burst.
(Oh, light screen, that'd definitely do it.)

So my highest level mon that specializes in attack using a super effective physical attack on a low defense ghost type only dealt 21 damage? O.o Kay den... light screen really didn't seem that powerful in game...

Light Screen doesn't work on Physical Attack.
And low Defense nothing; Duskull is a tank (Base Defense 90, which is equal to Ariados' Base Attack). Add to that Ariados doesn't get STAB for Shadow Sneak, and it isn't an outright powerful move in the first place, and there you go.

Ah, right, for a moment there I forgot that Ariados sucks. Still, only 21 damage with a super effective move? Even low powered, from a high level pokemon one might expect a little more >.>
