Mina considered her options as best she could. The one they’d been attacking so far had a Curse on it and Oodramer was doing decent damage; maybe it would be better to have him focus on the fourth one? The others might be able to deal with the first enough for Curse to take it out after this exchange of attacks…then again these were very powerful Pokemon. She also debated what to have Pidgey do; after the determination the first Endjinn had shown, she wasn’t sure if just blowing them away would keep them away. The Starlight Squad seemed to have the third one taken care of. She wasn’t familiar with Trick Room…

At last Mina shook her head. She decided to switch to the offensive for now, privately wishing she wasn’t so tired so she could think clearly.

“Houndour, Bite it ((1)) too! Pidgey, Gust ((1))! Oodramer…Bubblebeam that one! ((4))”

She’d have Pidgey Quick Attack the first one if he survived the next attack and it was still up; hopefully that would do.

((I have to admit, i haven't improved at all in my rp skills. i still have no idea how i can even make up some excuse why my guy hasn't been participating in the fights... But i don't even have a reason why i haven't been participating which is an even worse offense.))

Draloed sends out sting and zucruu.

"Cmon, we just gotta get a little further, we can make it."

"Zucruu, use wing attack on the third one ((3)). Sting, use leer. ((multitarget, been a while so if it's less than four apply it in numerical order))"

Draloed knew though that they still had a ways to go, he himself wasn't feeling too optimistic.

((Forgot about that. o.o I’m marking it on the relevant Pokemon in the CS thread, and also for Growl and Sweet Scent.

I can’t remember what the formula was for Tail Whip and the other non-damaging moves either. Henceforth it shall be 10 targets max for every 10 levels your Pokemon has—Level 1-10 hits 10 targets, level 11-20 hits 20 targets and so on. So long as we don’t have a half dozen newly-hatched Pokemon wiping the stats of entire armies, it’s good.

For your IC non-combat excuse, feel free to borrow one or more of the following:

--Tending wounded, trying to keep one of the barely-conscious wounded awake (we’ve got three SLS guys either unconscious or nearly as you may recall)
--Trying to commune with Salerdia
--SLS brass gave you the Bandra radio and you’ve been listening to their movements
--Carrying supplies that interfere with Pokeball usage
--Sudden illness
--Sleepwalking?))

Mina wondered where Draloed had been this whole time, but was happy enough to see him back in the action she just sent him a tired smile and a thumbs-up. What difference did it make, after all, so long as they all made it through this all right?

Everything is abruptly very quiet, save the panting of Pokemon and their trainers. At last the Starlight Squad Girafarig lets out a cry and shakes itself thoroughly, as if to say “glad that’s over with!”, then trots over to bury its nose in the pool for a long drink.

“This is why we used this place as a buffer zone,” Dien reminds Elren sourly, indicating the explosion marks from the self-destructing Endjinn.

Elren just smiles weakly before addressing those assembled. “All of us need to get ready as best as we can. That door,” he indicates the one on the far wall “is all that is standing between us and the outside world, and by now Bandra will have had time to move some of their forces. And after this we’re out of the Shrine and under the open sky, which will make the rest of the retreat even more trickier. On the bright side,” he adds, “there’s a Pokemon Center not far down the road.”

“Assuming Bandra hasn’t already taken it over,” Sesh scoffs.

“Right. We can’t depend on any more chances to rest between here and Ternai Town. So if any of you have any preparations to make or tactics to discuss, do it now.”

What??? Mina watched the proceedings with confusion. Once the battle was over she hastily paged through her Pokedex to look up Trick Room. Then she smacked herself.

Oy, looks like that Bubblebeam earlier did more harm than good. She recalled her Pokemon with thanks and tried to think of something she could do to improve their chances.

Mina handed the Potion she’d found off to Misty. “Here; now we’re even.” She then dug through the rest of her pack, looking to see what she had that might be useful.

Antidote…Paralyze Heal…Pokeball…Pokeball…why do I have so much stuff and not one bit of it is useful? Ah wait, what’s this? She pulled out her single Repel. Probably not much good against Bandra Pokemon. Still she resolved to keep it in easy reach. It wouldn’t hurt anything, certainly.

"Lets avoid hitting the wild pokemon if we can, we might get them to focus on the enemy's pokemon." she now faced a problem.  If she took the time to call out the single pokemon that could heal itself, it would probably not last long enough to do so.  If she revived another it would probably get a single attack in..but they needed more pokemon.

Finally, hoping the other pokemon would keep them busy for a bit..she decided.  A quick text to Mina.  "We need your water pokemon.  Get ready I will throw you a revive." Even though it will go down fast she calls out Phoebe.  "Take the potion back..you will need it more then me!" she texts also to Mina.

"Stripes, headbut that magnamite!" (the weakest one)

As soon as Mina is ready Misty will toss her the revive and potion.

I don’t HAVE a Water Pokemon. She was fairly certain Misty meant Oodramer, however, and so called him out, along with Sandshrew and Pidgey—the latter two still being conscious.

“Sandshrew, I need you to watch my back, okay?” The Ground type sighed irritably. “Pidgey, Twister those three ((Magnemite 1, Mankey 3 and…hmm…Geodude 2)).” Last of all she gave Natu a meaningful look. “You too. Nightshade that Graveler ((1)).”

Main Group:

The Starlight Squad call out the last dregs of their Pokemon to protect the wounded; besides the Girafarig that survived the previous fight, Sesh sends out a Pokemon the Pokedex identifies as Stellas: it is the same dark blue as the night sky, tripedal, with a headdress-like crest. It also appears to be battered and badly Burned. Dien and a few of the other Starlight Squad members are hastily arguing Elren out of untying himself from his own Archeokat and sending it out to join the battle too, with reasonable success. Meanwhile, Misty and Mina apply some hasty first-aid to Oodramer; Mina’s Sandshrew looks sullen and Phoebe flops behind her trainer in a panic after one look at the Geodude.
