Yanma cut its HP to create a Substitute!
The familiar, oversized Poké Doll drops down once again to block yet another attack. You realize, perhaps a bit late, that the Yanma is quicker than your Zubat.
Zubat used Toxic!
The Substitute is unaffected!
Yanma's Condition:
HP: 26/51
Condition: Healthy
Substitute: HP: 13/13

The Yanma and its Substitute are getting somewhat hard to follow, the Double Team noticeably blurring its true location.
Zubat used Astonish!
The Substitute took the hit!
The Substitute took 8 points of damage!
The Substitute withstood the attack!
Yanma's Condition:
HP: 26/51
Condition: Healthy
Substitute: HP: 5/13
Evasiveness up 2 levels.

Zubat uses Leech Life! ((rolled 48 = HIT!))
The Substitute took the hit!
The Substitute took 5 points of damage! ((the damage range was 4-5!  LOL!))
The Substitute disappeared!
The Youngster looks flustered, even though his Yanma has enough HP for one more Substitute. As you may suspect, the crowd is less than thrilled with the pace of this part of the battle.
((As you also may suspect, your accuracy is starting to drop thanks to the Double Teams, so I'm using a Random Number Generator to figure out if you hit or not. Right now, if you roll over 70, you miss. He Double Teams again, that value drops to 60, and so forth, down to a minimum of 40  . ))

Zubat used Toxic! ((rolled 33 = HIT! You lucky little...))
Yanma is badly poisoned!
The Youngster can't help but mutter:
"But, how? I have 4 Double Teams up!"
The trainer who had flamed the Youngster before for using Foresight lays it thick now:
"Boo hoo! Grow a brain and figure out that 40% evasiveness doesn't guarantee you'll dodge everything..."
The Youngster snaps and glares at the trainer, saying:
"Oh! If you're so tough, why don't you come up here and finish him off then?"
The Trainer grins and retorts, simply:
"Against the rules..."
The Youngster turns his gaze back to you. He has a look of repressed anger and of frustration. His two remaining Pokémon are now Badly Poisoned.
((Not bad, young one. Not bad at all. ))

“Why? Was he in their way, or did they just do it to be nasty? How did it happen? What happened to the Bandra guys who did it—are they still in the area? Where did they come from, and where did they go? Has anyone else gone missing recently? Anything you can think of to find out, really.”
Mina looked suddenly cheerful as she realized something. “Now is probably a good time to look into it, too; I’m sure there’s lots of people from the general region who aren’t normally in town here for the festival.”
