Mark's triumphant grin became a little troubled. "Oh dear..." The electric type would wreak havoc with his pokemon no matter which one he used... hopefully Lapras would be able to knock it out first. A ice shard seemed to be effective, soooo... "Lapras, do the same thing again!" (Goes until either the Luxio is KO'd, Lapras faints or the trainer calls out another pokemon)

"Sure thing!" she responds. "There's about a six hour gap between high tide and low tide. It's actually a little more than that, but unless you're planning way in advance you won't need to worry about it—and if you are, I've got an App for it if you want it. Today it's..." she checks her Pokedex. "3 PM when the tide is at its lowest, and 9 PM when it's at its highest. Just remember that there's a couple miles between the shores, so you'll actually want to start out before that if you want to get to the other side—most people start crossing about an hour-and-a-half beforehand, that usually gets you over the lowest spots before the tide starts coming in."

The Luxio goes down before it even gets off the Spark it was charging and your opponent concedes the match rather than get his Murkrow knocked out pointlessly.
"That was a great match kid. Listen, I know we didn't have a wager going but you look like you've been having a rough time, so I want you to have this." He fishes something pale yellow out of his pack and hands it to you.
