Mark and Mina:

"About a half hour, hour tops."

----------------

Stacey:

Your alarm wakes you up bright and early to give you plenty of time to get to the coast and cross over to Tidepath. Or rather, dark and early, as it's a little after midnight.

Stacey yawns and stretches. She realizes now that she shouldn't have fished so long the day before. Oh well. She wanted to get going now, and she would. Mona seemed more eager than her to get going.

Stacey quickly got ready, and searched her pack for the Bandra flashlight she obtained recently. She got her pokemon, and they started their journey out.

Stacey:

((Roll = 77))

You make it to the coast in good time; indeed, you're not the only one to do so as a handful of other people are already starting down the tide-revealed road.

----------------

Christian:

You head over to the pond; it's mostly deserted this time of day save for a single fisherman with his pole in the water.

((You can call people on your 'dex like you would a phone. And vice-versa.))

On his way to the pond, Christian added the girls number into his dex's library.

By the pound

"Hey there! Does the fish bite today?" Christian asked the man curiously.

Stacey starts talking with one of the other people traveling along. They talk about random topics for a while, then the topic comes to water pokemon. She mentions her luck with the previous day's fishing, and also mentions the fact she has a very strong Bronzor that she isn't too sure would have any respect for her. She had been going over what pokemon she had in storage in her head, when she was fishing. That Bronzor would be very welcome on her team. She wouldn't mind trading it for a more humble(lower level) one, though.

----------------

Stacey:

Your companion turns out to be a trainer from Hillsbreak named Sky; in return for your fishing stories, he shares his woes on finding Gyms outside Bandra territory. Apparently he was on his way to Ternai when the town fell.

As to your Bronzor, he suggests bribery—and lots of hard work. But if you're serious about trading it, he suggests posting a notice at the Pokemon Center.

Mark smirked, slightly amused. "Well then, we can get started then! I'll wait for you outside and get some training in on my own." Mark closed his journal and hesitated. "Er... if you want something to do, you can read this while you wait." He handed the faded black book to Mina, smiling nervously.

Christian:

You pull out your Old Rod and start to fish.

About two hours in to your fishing spree you notice the line pulling off to the side. Following it, you see a small Krabby trying to sneak out of the pond, with your lure in one claw.

Krabby: 23/23

After dealing with the Krabby, you put your line back into the water. Half an hour later you pull up a Magikarp, which flops lazily after you get it out of the water.

Magikarp: 25/25

The next half hour passes without any bites, and you realize it's about time to meet with your Grunts.

----------------

Mark and Mina:

Mina didn't honestly think she would need it, but it seemed rude to say no so she accepted the book with thanks.

----------------

Stacey:

"You give it something it can't get on its own—like, I knew a trainer once who had a Croagunk that would only battle if he kept buying it rap CDs. Sometimes food works, Berries or Poffin, or trips to the spa—but things it couldn't get out in the wild would probably work better.

Just keep in mind if you go that route it'll listen because it wants the treat—not because it respects you. You'll want to work on yourself, and get its respect eventually, because otherwise if you ask it to do something it doesn't think is worth what you're giving it, you'll be back to square one."

"No wonder I did not get any fish! Damn thieving Grabbies!" Christian could not help but smile at his own pun. "Scyther, teach this insolent creature what we do with thieves! WING ATTACK!"

((Wing attack spam the Krabby))

Christian only took a split second to decide what to do with the fish type he had pulled up. "Geodude, give him hell!"

((Magnitude Spam))

"Alright, this was fun! But I am afraid I need to leave now." Christian said to the fisher, before getting up to go meet the team.

Stacey continues talking with Sky along their path, until they reach the end. Topics she brings up are catching Mona(good), having to run from Bandra during the time she caught Bronzor(bad), and her meeting up with Ignis(odd).

Mark nodded as he left. "Alright, see you in an hour or so then!" The young trainer called back. He waved as he walked out of the room. Now, what to do whilst he waited? He had left Mina his journal... Oh, he could train Skarmory while he waited! He called out his big bird pokemon and began training it. He would need to be nice and strong if Mark was going to use him to fly around and scout things out.

((If Mina does open the book, she will note that the first part is actually written by Jason Manden, and that after about page five there is a few red dots on a blank page followed by, "This journal shall be continued by Mark Allen" and Mark's entries since returning to Helnith))

After they arrive, Stacey bids Sky farewell. She wishes him luck in finding a Gym still active. She first goes to the pokemon center to switch Raticate for Bronzor. After that, she, depending on the time of day, either finds somewhere to rest a bit more,(if a significant amount of time prior to 8) or goes in search of the Srubba Dubb ship.

Christian:

You find your Grunts by the ruins, as you'd ordered.

"Heya New Kid!" Rob greets. "We're ready when you are."

----------------

Stacey:

You make it to Tidepath without incident. It's a much larger settlement than you're used to, and it takes you a while to find the Pokemon Center. In the process of searching for it you see obvious signs of recent celebration around town—photos of Dream are plastered in windows, banners no one has bothered to take down hung over buildings, there's even a little days-old confetti still blowing around. This time of day, however, it's rather quiet, with only a few sailors and fishermen heading for the docks and the odd early riser out for a stroll.

You arrive at the Center about 7:30 AM and switch your Pokemon. You then go back out to town to search for the HS Scrubba Dubb.

As you search, you realize there are two sets of docks in town—a set to the north and another to the east, past a number of warehouses. Most of the town's southern portion is taken up by residential buildings, though you pass a Ranger Base in that area as well.

((Map is on the way.))

----------------

Mark:

You go outside and train Skarmory.

Pokemon: Skarmory - Trained (1, 0, 0) in the last three days.
Type: Flying/Steel
Ability: Sturdy
Gender: Male
Level: 19
Held Item: None
Stats—
HP: 59+5
Attack: 41+3
Def: 64
Sp. Attack: 26
Sp. Def: 37
Speed: 37+2

Moves:
Leer (multi)
Peck
Sand Attack
Swift (multi) (2 targets)
Agility

After about an hour, Skarmory's form is much improved and Mina has come to find you and return your journal.

"Here's your book back. Thanks," she says with an honest smile.

----------------

Mina:

((Assuming those dots are blood from Jason's violent death at the hands of Bandra, shouldn't they be brown?))

Mina paged through the journal a little while she waited for the nurse to arrive. She skimmed enough to recognize some of the places Mark had been when the nurse came in to give Mina her exit checkup.

An awkward half-hour followed, ending with a lecture from the nurse on taking stupid risks and not taking care of herself. This culminated with the nurse making Mina promise not to get herself into trouble for at least a week—or next time, Nurse Joy promised, she wasn't getting out so early.

But finally the lecture was over and the nurse returned her (now clean! though still stained) clothing as well as her Pokemon and Mina was free to go. She put on the least stained of her clothes, made sure her Pokemon had been fed and grabbed some disinfectant and extra bandages from the nurse before she went to find Mark.

Mark gratefully took the book back and sends out the rest of his pokemon. "Alright, this is what I have. How do you want to start training?" He pet Skarmory's nose and Ariados climbed up on his back again, glaring at everyone and everything suspiciously.

Mark and Mina:

Mina called out her own team and pulled out her Pokedex to scan Mark's. Pidgey perched on her shoulder and Natu claimed the top of her head, watching her scan.

"Well, if you don't want to try Trainer Hill, let's go find a few double battles and work on our tactics." She already knew Oodramer could help out Lapras with Bubblebeam...the Ice type probably didn't need cover from Fire being a Water type too but Houndoom could shield the Skarmory...I should probably be coordinating this out loud. "And we should probably decide what Pokemon we'll throw out together in advance, so we don't step on each other's toes."

Mark nodded, "Sounds good... though I can tell you now that Ariados here," He pet the large insect on the head as it peered over his shoulder at Mina, "will not get along with anything we try to pair him with. I'm really the only living thing he likes... Kirlia is a bit sarcastic, though I'm pretty sure that she'll warm up to whoever we pair her with. If any of your pokemon know water moves, they can heal lapras if he gets too hurt. Skarmory could carry one of your pokemon on his back as well~"

Mark and Mina:

((Find yourself a male Ralts (they ARE available wild in Helnith if Mark checks his 'dex); I already have an in-game method set for obtaining Dawn Stones. Possibily more than one method, now I think about it. ))

"That would be Oodramer, maybe Natu if he could use Me First." Which meant Lapras would need to be using a Water attack, though given the prevalence of Geodude in Bandra's ranks that probably wasn't an insurmountable problem. "And...hmm...could your Skarmory carry Houndoom?" Mina asked, restraining the Dark type in question before he tried to make friends with Mark's Ariados. "He's got Flash Fire and that might be helpful against Fire types." Pikachu or Sandshrew might work in that regard too, she decided, although they hadn't been running into Electric types so much. Flying/Steel...was Skarmory weak to anything else? Mina couldn't recall anything offhand.
