Misty heads on over to the tournament, and exchanges pokemon again. She then waits for her next match nervously. While she waits she calls out the pokemon and spends a bit of time with them. Always good to get to know your team better. She stays close to her traveling companions as well.

Christian starts to shake, then he calls out his pokemons, Tyrogue and Slakoth. Tyrogue, like his trainer, starts to shake and dosen't like the crowd, while Slakoth sniffs out some food and points in the direction of something that smellslike Barbeque. Christian and Tyrogue is just glad they got an excuse to get away from the crowd.

Noticing a crowd starting to gather, Mina left off her pointless wandering to join them for the commencement of the next round. She shifted on her feet anxiously as the announcer spoke, nervous in spite of the fact that she knew she wasn’t going to be battling for a while yet.

after paying the cost off the egg draloed is alerted of his requirement at the tournament by a helpful guard. he drops off is party at the red tent and gets his rentals prepared. he then mingles into the crowd and waits for his match. calm and collected he didn't fear his next opponent.

Draloed:
You head out of the gray tent and arrive over at the tournament grounds.

Every Player Character in the area:
Everyone in the area is chatting wildly about the tournament and who they expect to win. After a few long minutes of idle chatter, the announcer steps up once again to the podium and starts speaking:
"Welcome to the second day of the Battle Festival Rental Tournament!"
*the crowd goes wild*
"Let's get this show on the round! The first four matchups are...
The announcer starts announcing the matchups...

Draloed (again  ):
You hear that you will be facing off against a Ranger. You then head off towards your appointed arena, when suddenly you see a bizarre sight.
The other three pairs of Trainers are already matched up. A woman races out of the crowd into the second arena and grabs the Bug Catcher by the ear, saying:
"There you are Jonny!"
The Bug Catcher flinches as he is forcefully grabbed by who appears to be his mother. She continues her verbal assault:
"What do you think you're doing? You're only 7! Why, when I was growing up, I had to wait until I was 15 before they let me start my journey! For shame! You're grounded for 3 months now!"
The boy tries to protect himself, retorting:
"But, ma..."
"Don't ma' me young man! You're coming home, and that's THAT!"
The crowd is in silent shock as the boy is dragged out of the tournament and forced to forfeit. The announcer then takes the boy's rentals, straps them to his belt, and looks over a list. As he reads off the first name on the list, it is clear that that is the backup list.
"Amanda...", starts calling the announcer.
No one came out of the crowd.
"Byron..."
Zilch.
"Carlos..."
Nada.
And so it went on. There were a grand total of 33 names in the backup list, and only one remained...
"Christian..."

Christian:
You hear your name being called. You hurry over to the announcer, who then says:
"You must leave your regular Pokémon with us. Don't worry, they'll be well protected."
As you send off your regular Pokémon with one of the tournament organizers, back to the red tent where they are all being guarded, you receive the Bug Catcher's three rental Pokémon. The announcer then wishes you good luck as you step into the arena to face off against the Rich Boy that was supposed to be the Bug Catcher's opponent.
He looks at you briefly, saying nothing, and sends out a Skitty.
What will you send out?
((I owe you your rental Pokémon list. I'll PM it to you as soon as possible.))

Draloed:
Your opponent, the Ranger, says:
"Good luck...you'll be needing it!"
He grins as he sends out a Poochyena.

After watching the bizarre spectacle with Bug Catcher Jonny (Poor kid… Mina thought sympathetically) and listening to the announcer drone off a half-a-dozen or so names, Mina grew bored of waiting for the technical difficulties to be cleared up and went off to find herself a spot close to one of the arenas.

Deciding to end the match quickly he decides to afflict poochy with
paralysis.
"thunderwave magnemite."

Draloed:
You send out your Magnemite and have it use Thunder Wave. The crowd starts cheering:
Magnemite uses Thunder Wave!
Poochyena is paralyzed!
It may not be able to attack!
The Poochyena starts to move and instantly runs into immobility trouble. This is not looking good for the Ranger.
Poochyena is fully paralyzed!
The crowd goes wild as you take the lead at the beginning of this battle.

Christian looked at the guy who gave him the rentral pokemons "ehm, sir, these are all bugs, not that it is anything wrong with it of course, but...In tournaments, when rentral pokemons are given, there are always three diffrent types, so unless this is the bug catchers own pokemons, something that also goes against the law of pokemon that I can use them since the trainer haven't allowed me to use them, I refuse to fight with only one type of pokemon!"

Draloed noticed a sound from the audience and waved to mina. turning back he commanded his magnemite to unleash a charge beam. two dogs in one bun. he would not only damage poochyena but he might also raise special attack.

"Well, they are not his Pokémon per se. They belong to the tournament breeders, who have quite an arduous year-long task to bring them up to snuff in preparation of this tournament. As for the typing issues (what you said about the 3 bugs), that is not actually true, m'lad. You can pick any three Pokémon you like. However, since you're a backup entry, you have to battle with his picks."
Draloed:
Magnemite uses Charge Beam!
Poochyena takes 26 points of damage!
Magnemite's Special Attack increases by one level!
The Ranger looks at you in shock and orders his Poochyena to:
"Bite, now!"
The Poochyena manages to land the Bite, despite its Paralysis.
Poochyena uses Bite!
Magnemite takes 8 points of damage!
Magnemite's Condition:
HP: 32/40
Condition: Healthy
Sp.Atk up one level
Poochyena's Condition:
HP: 14/40
Condition: Paralyzed

Draloed:
The Ranger looks at his Poochyena and says:
"Hmm...this is bad."
The Ranger orders Poochyena to Bite again, only to have it eat a Charge Beam from Draloed's Magnemite. It faints (25 damage), the only saving grace that Charge Beam's extra effect did not trigger.
He then looks at you and grins, saying:
"Well, that's not bad at all."
The Ranger sent out Vulpix!

vulpix is a fire type from the looks of it and magnemite is a steel type... Draloed calls back magnemite and sends out ekans.

Your decision to switch comes just in time to hear the Ranger yell out:
"Vulpix! Ember, now!"
The Ember shoots out of the Vulpix's mouth, meeting the Ekans you have sent out.

((I'm done with my final exam and be more active now))
"Okay...this region got ridicolus rules! I mean, in my region and the other regions I visited, we get to chose between made sets with three pokemons in each and all of them are diffrent types and we don't get to know which ones we get before we use them. With those rules we all go out equally, while with these rules, a person like that newbeginner Bug Catcher can chose pokemons of just one type making it easy to beat him. All that guy need is a pokemon with fire attack and I'm screwed. Well then..." Christian looked around and saw all the people and though to himself "just ignore that theres people here, just ignore it...Why did it have to be so many people here?! Under these sicurmstances I will lose no matter what."((In case you don't get it, my character have problems with a big mass of people)) Christian looked at his pokemons and thinks "One of these are totally useless, the other one is good to have against any fire types or attack users, while the last...well, he can be used for something but will be screwed against fire. Only one thing to do" Christian looked
((I got no idea what to do, fight a hopeless battle(if he got fire or flying or psychi that is) or forfeit...))

((@B-E-T-A: I noticed your character's phobia of people.  Also, you'd have an advantage against Psychic types because Bug is super effective against Psychic. Fire and Flying I agree with. Of course, should you win, you get to swap one of your Pokémon with one of his, so you don't have to have three bugs.  ))
((Also...you haven't even started the battle. How do you know you're going to lose? ))
