*****New Clans Season, New ToH Season as well?
Unfortunately my work has been coinciding with the new clans season -- 4 hrs sleep a day, work all day etc... So I'm behind on the clan restart.
But anyways, it will restart soon -- here's my question -- A lot of you say start a new ToH season, reset rankings, etc... But there isn't as many emperors as I'd like, and the top ranked player (SQ79) is barely over the emperor 1900+ point.
I can do a new ToH season, reset the rankings, but its a huge undertaking -- as each veteran icon must be manually awarded, plus prestige points. So there would be a downtime on the ToH season reset.
I still strongly believe there should be some point transfer for clan players (ie. the 10% rule).
Whatever the case, there is a lot of medals and prestige points to be awarded in the case of a reset, plus I'd need to build a new history section with the rankings list etc...

Personally I feel that the current TOH season should continue to amass 8 emperors AND to conduct a proper conclusion of the season by undertaking Caesar tournament!
Otherwise, there is a strong sense of unfinished business and futility of striving only for medals...In other words, I think, Ves, you would do just fine by sticking to proclaimed formula and tradition.
Obviously, clans needed to be restarted due to stagnation, yet general season and rankings are working just fine. Why should we meddle into something that's already good? Let's follow the TOH tradition and commence Caesar tournament thus providing a ceremonial end to the 1st H5 season

it makes sense what strider says.
i wanna see again those final matchups (ie SQ defeats ELIT by 2-1, etc) even if i will be in the observer place unlike last time when i've been there in the middle of the action, damn , but its good to watch also (u can record the fights also and post them after the Caeser tourney ended for ToH archive). i tell u from my past experience that every tournament with a PRECISE bet it provides extra attractivity and those kind of records as they were used to be in h4 clans mentioning who beats who, the score, the award, the races they played will take the clans out of silence cause the way it is now its actually just a free challenge not a clanwar itself, ppl are barely updated with whats happening. A record of a completed clanwar with purple titles will keep them more connected to the action.
i still insists into having those clanwars h4 style , oldfashion, all members of the clan should complete a war and only after that the poinst should be awarded. u can have 2 or more clans going on, but until one war is not finished (meaning all 3 games,or any other formula u might think of) the clan score will not be modified.
im sure will be some volunteering to help u post those results in a specila toh section "X defeats Y , score, x vs y score, x[j] vs y[j], etc"

Whatever will be i sustain ppl zero ground again.
Let the clans fight for prizes, this has nothing to do with the rest.
This way Ves will have plenty of time to set everything for us.
Medals, awards, prestige points (I have a couple to take for myself)...but the activity must go on...this in my opinion can be done it by letting ppl to O again
Theres no need to hurry, Ves.. but a lot of us will be more happy if we'd know that all of us will be reset to O some day...not too far ... so we can refresh our status..

I do agree with Strider_HL too.
We want a new CAESAR 
Even if my clanmates don't make it to the title, it'll be an excellent final for the first Heroes 5 season. It lasted long enough and few weeks/months more (until we have 8 emperors)do not matter much to us. We are close to the finals and it'll be a complete waste of a good and prestigious event if we do not make that Caesar tournament.
After it - the new Heroes 5 season may start and everyone will be satisfied - both rating hunters and clan fighters. And there will be prizes for everyone - well deserved

Yep, completely agree with teacher here - Ceasar tourney should be lots of fun to participate in for top players (and lots of fun to watch it from spectators perspective as well).
We can even arrange little betting tourney on who will be the Ceasar..

where are the map?
who edit the map?
all player of each clan can play clan wars or only the clan leader?

Anyways, allrighty then -- there will be a Caesar tournament. It can be played by 4, 6, or 8 emperors -- I prefer 8 for a real serious one. It would be an elimination tournament, but one with a chance for everyone to play out each opponent in round one (explained later).
Right now I see SQ79, Jorko80, Strider_HL, Elit & Fraudatio as actives -- Betruger hasn't played since Oct.2007, and Kispagat, Arteman, Valentin, Ghasteater, Jinxer, Karim26, Zilonite, Fiur, AlKillmore, Cycleguy as all potential frontrunners for the finals.
As for the clans 'questing for artifacts' and 'land grab' system, read the rules, or visit the homm4 clans history to get an idea.

I think there should be some kind of deadline set for the end of season and ceasar finals.... you are wanting to wait till there is 8 emperors... how long do we wait for that... What if it takes 6 months and still havent gotten number 7 and 8 ?
I propose that Vesuvius and all the emperors all talk and agree on a deadline as to which would be acceptable to take what ever emperors we have and go forth with the ceasar tourny.
But just some food for thought... there are dozens of fresh new players that are hungry to play... that will have to sit and keep waiting while we are waiting for 2 more emperors. Just dont want all the fresh blood to lose interest while season 1 stands virtually idle.
And some more food for thought... It really is pointless to restart clans until the new season starts... cause same thing, all the new fresh players will have trouble getting games until rankings reset...

Members can sign up for new clans now, since its open -- the usual, 3 members, clan leader, clan graphic (if you want different than before), philosophy, and clan statement.

ive noticed a change in clans banners style, it appears as the maker stepped to a superior level of publishing . (i guess some tutorial which explains what part of the image should be the montage focus in order to be more expresive and increase dramatism has been finally found and obviously did the trick ).
the old banners shouldve been reworked to match the new ones' style (orc/dwarf) to be integrated in the same scheme. if Ves has no time, im offering volunteer.

EDIT EDIT Vesuvius : 1. a loss. 2. gaming is above average 4 games/week, just i dont report all games unless the opponent does. i play for fun mostly, dont want to make the other feel forced to lose points, i will do so when the real clanwars will start
P.S. i dont understand why all the suggestions are very "welcome" and "debated" alot, even free services seem to bother u so much? i wonder if they are affecting your perfect image? wtf is wrong? its not the first time when your patronzing answers dont bring anything constructive

CLAN RULES QUESTION:
Is free challenge clan fights a 1st phase and clan wars with arties 2nd? or can do either at same time?
or what?
free challenge is 1v1 games like its been in clans all this time. Clan wars are mini tourneys set up by clan leaders as an elimination game like in homm4 clans. They can be done at the same time. -vesuvius

H4 clan war principle where all 3 memebers had to be involved, obviously was way more fascinating and meaningful.  Yet, it presumed that all clan memebers were active... H5 clan system addressed the issue of some members being more passive, yet it had to sacrifice the "cuteness".
I wonder if a middle ground can be found... Personally I find the H4 system almost perfect, yet Vesuvius would do wise by incorporating some backdoor for letting the clan continue actively even when participants occasionally duck in and out of heroes world.

Also i'm not agree sometimes but only thing we have to do now is play
for let the activity grow up.
Maybe it's better to have 10 clan with all the 3 menbers fully active that to have 20 clan where 1 player play only occasionally.
In my little opinion i can say to all clan leadear:"choose for menbers of our clan only player that for sure will play,that love to play and if someone want to go tell to vesuvius to cancel from our clan"
And i hope this time to have the final beetween clan

I am not sure what faction to pick for my clan...
But, I need to be sure if these are the rules...

So picking rogue I will always start random (random faction), but i'll be able to pick map.
If I am choosing one specific faction, like academy for my clan, I will always play clan games as Academy, right?

no matter the clan, u have alwyas the option to play random, but if u want to pick a specific town then the choice will be academy only.(your case)
