TOH Clans
I'm reading into Clan rules and several issues have emerged:
1. As I understand then for Clan war FINALS, a clan memeber get the acquired artifacts throughout the season at the start of the game. Seems, that clans with 8 piece quest artifact are at enormous advantage... For clans with only 2 pieces, you can play as good as you want but thats all you get. I presume that its quite possible to acquire 6-8 artifacts during ALL season.
Anyway, Quest artifact relative strength is very uneven and Clan FINALS (the main event of the clan season) might turn out to be a travesty (perhaps i've just misinterpreted the rules )...
2. As before the game players always agree on map, I dont see a mechanism for forcing Rougue choice upon opponent. Choosing 1 map out of 3 proposed is not a remedy as it sounds more like a trap  Also, in Clan Finals they are bare-assed lol
P.s. On positive note, I'm greatly found of the return of Clan wars, the land, the arties. Thx, Ves

if your assumption is correct then my Clan has selected the wrong Philosophy big time...!!  (well I guess only one stronghold hero can benefit alot if he gets the hand on Weapons of Might)
and should'nt be to hard to guess who?

Clan Wars
Clan leaders may arrange clan wars amongst each other -- by setting up their own 3x 1v1 elimination tournament. A choice of land is also picked for domination. With clan wars, they can quest for one of their artifact specialty pieces -- which then is added to their status and & main rankings page & prestige... if they win. For the clan finals, the artifacts are actually applied to the matches (one set per match).
Clan wars do not apply individual points to the players, but a total 10 points overall to their overall rankings. Losing clan does not lose any points.

??Quest artifacts are selected randomly; you can have more than one set of the same artifact.?? -Random, but for example if you already have one of the arts to a 2 set artifact, the other is chosen in the 2nd clan war. -V

there's nothing to explain, look at the big picture in the rules, and see how whether it is 8 artifacts or 2 in a set it balances out in the long run.
Remember, an artifact set, say even the 8 artifact one, can only be used on one clan final 1v1 match. In clan finals, there would be a dozen matches played. Unless you win 100 or so clan wars, which wont be happening.
well, here i go explaining further, even though most of you guys are very intelligent, somehow I have to explain further, even though it should be common sense.
so if there is a 2 set clan artifact, and that clan wins 8 wars, they've got 4 sets to apply to their clan finals, allowing for 4 matches with them. The guys with the 8 set, even if it is a game breaker, only get one match if they won 8 clan wars.
With activity much higher in clan wars homm4, the most successful clan won about 16 clan wars in the whole season.
In the long run with this system, the most active, the most skilled, the most unified clan will win the clan wars... and that is what should be... right?
Any more explanations needed?

There is minor mistake, sorry for those who chose dungeon, its nothing personal, but the POWER OF DRAGONS set is the only 'neutral' set. For warlocks, there is RUNEFORCE set,i guess this erorr should be corrected if we have to follow the alignment rule.
I dont mention here the fact that full dragons set is 100% victory (check the bonus), so imo is a bit too much.
if we have to make a comparison, runeforce has same "weight" as orcs or demon set.

nobody will pick rogues anyway..
good idea for rogue to have power dragon set and warlock their native bonus set
