everything in life is a matter of balance, Everything is a always shifting counterweight.
If theres a scale and one side is heavier then the other it leans towards one side. but if its rusty and cant move it wont move at all.
The point im trying to make here in regard to are feelings worth it, is in fact that if you are not sensetive towards positive feelings then you are not towards negative ones and vica versa. there is noone that feels just happiness or just sadness indefinatly, it can all be reversed . Those that are always neither happy nor sad however, have a difficult time ever being eithe

Weird thing is besides a few, in my family, I am always look up.  Almost all of my brothers are taller, and my sisters are about as tall (though I am the tallest female).  Mostly I am around the guys tho, so I look up.  One brother is 6'5".  No wonder when me and my brothers walk down the road people tend to move aside lol.

Ehh... I have no feelings - virtually none, anyhow... I don't think it's technically correct to say I have absolutely none - so I'll try my best to tell you what it's like.

Firstly, it can cause some problems. People get frustrated with you. As much as objectivity is praised, no one actually likes it. Especially extroverts. My sister once locked me in a room because she was so angry that she couldn't make me happy or excited no matter what she did. That was pretty inconvenient.

You also can't make decisions that don't matter. Now, while this doesn't sound like it's so bad, think about how you decide what to eat for supper. You want this, or you want that. You feel like eating something, so you choose to eat it. I never feel that. When someone asks me what I want to eat or where I'd like to go out for supper, I have no way to base my decision, and so I can never answer. Once again, people get frustrated with it.

Now, the other thing is that you won't experience happiness to the same extent that others do. People with feelings consider this the worst part of being emotionless. It doesn't bother me; much like I'm not envious of people who reach a state of ecstasy by snorting cocaine, I don't feel like I'm missing something just because I can't get as excited as the person next to me in a theatre. It's not that I don't enjoy movies or drama... I just don't feel a "rush" from anything, even my favourites.

I guess the most obvious upside to this 'condition' is that I'm not inconvenienced by the problems inherent in negative emotions. I fairly rarely get upset with anyone, which is often interpreted as patience rather than apathy, making life a little easier in its own way. I also don't experience loss on the same level as others. I've attended twenty-seven funerals in my life, and I'm not one tear drier for it, although some of my friends argue that that's why I'm an emotional deadlock - something about psychological defense mechanisms. I never want. I don't feel hunger, longing, envy, greed, or jealousy, nor do I have a libido. I do not take note of the ethnicity of anyone I encounter, unless they speak a different language to me.

There are also some things people believe about the unfeeling state that aren't really true. For instance, once my lack of emotion becomes obvious to someone, one of the first conclusions they jump to is that I lack any characteristics associated with compassion or charity. To be precise, it's fair to accuse me of not caring about other people; I really don't. What's not true is that I won't help someone without tangible reciprocation given the opportunity.

Another thing that's not true is that I have no friends. I'm only a loner in the sense that I wouldn't be any less happy without social contact. There are people that like me for who I am, and I get invited to parties and hang out with friends nearly every day. Regarding the idea of a reliable person, I don't think that has much to do with compassion or having a "big heart". I have friends that rely on me emotionally because, as far as they can tell, I'm unfazed by any amount of stress. That sense of stability has gotten me up at three o'clock in the morning more than once because a friend needed a shoulder to cry on. I've certainly served as a designated driver, because alcohol has no real appeal for me so no one feels bad about asking me not to drink.

To be honest, this is probably everything you expected to hear. I don't know if it helps you any.

Maby you are right Myti, but without feelings why would you live? We live for love, passion, anger, happiness, and all those sensations that makes our life colorful. I agree that they can cause lot of pain too but, they keep us running.

Of course feelings are worth it.  It's true that negative feelings are experienced more often.  But there are intense highs.

One thing I can never understand is why people can't accept themselves as they are.  Don't get me wrong, trying to better yourself is admirable.  But does it really matter what other people think about you?

Why try to conform to societies idea of 'normal'?  After all since the world (ok mostly the people are in it) is crazy, then 'normal' would be crazy also.  Too many people try to be things they are not, when the 'real' them is probably so much more interesting.

But they got to have the most recent fashion, the latest gadgets, the newest car, ect.  When in a day or two, all that is old, and then they got to have more.  Dress in what is comfortable, not what some person half way around the world tells you too.  What are we...mindless sheep.  *Baaa..yes master we will wear that 5000 dollar dress one time....baaaa*.

These sites like truth.com and abovetheinfluence.com has the right idea, but the wrong targets.  Don't let others choose for you, make up your own mind.  Heck, don't even let me choose for you.  You have a mind, use it.  Your head isn't just for wearing a hat ya know.

Now I am not saying go start a revolution, or anything like that.  I am just saying think for yourselves. Make decisions based on what you want, not what some bozo in a advertising firm wants.  You don't have to be rail thin to look good.  A little meat on the bones won't kill you.  Yeah, be healthy, but don't be a bean poll.

Guys.  The person with the most gadgets may 'win', but the person who has the most fun getting to the finish line enjoys the game more.  If a girl only wants you for what 'toys' you have, they are not worth it.  Move on.

Ok enough rant today .
