Incubus posted these same elemental graphics a while back. I don't think they're from Heroes4.
Addendum:
Just got an IM from Incubus. He confirmed that these elementals are NOT from Heroes 4!

Just wondered if anyone else wanted a say in this?
You know, now with new information and more screenshots?
(I haven't checked them all out myself, so I can't vouch for everything I wrote "back then", some things may have changed, it's mostly the pics in Wesley's reply I've looked at when making my verdict.

A shame...
I liked those elementals(In murphy's post) way better then the elementals that look like pokemon.
Who want's diglet or haunter in a fantasy game anyway.
Aren't we to old for that?
This game isn't for lord woock only.. OOPS sorry woocky!

There are much more screenshots. Did you see them?
There are some new creatures in those screenshots.(like all elementals)Who are all (only the air is cool) butt ugly! And they look like I said before worse then pokemon!

Look they even took my ability with it! Binding/Ensnaring

I guess.
You don't understand it.. It's not about how they putted it in(my painting was much cooler and part dragon) But they took a little bit of the idea + it's special ability and putted into the game. That's cool in every case. And a prove they read or messages(and not a fake maranthea like some claim)
A shame we can't sent them any more thoughts. The game is almost finished and they will not change anything anymore. We have to do it with those pokemon. I will only summon air..(And maybe water)

And they are SCARY!!! You have any idea how deadly a poison elemental is? (green fire lemental) And with lag.. alone in a dungeon miles from home.. WAAAAHH!! SAVE MEEEEEEEE RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN½½½!!!!

Ok, latest verdicts, after seeing the latest screenshots:
- all the elementals except water are poor....4
- the crusader is so skiny, that the sword should be plastic made....6
- the ice demon is not a demon at all, small, weak and hunch-backed...6
- the griffin looks like a beaten dog after receiving a kick in the butt, ready to bite the dust...5
- faerie dragons, are they full metal plated?...7
