That duel preset editor pisses me off..
Guys, is there a way to remove the ridiculous restrictions that prevent you from going above level 15 (what's that, early week two?) or having as much units as you want (132 peasants max, I mean lol, you can get more in first week!)
The restrictions make the whole duel mode laughable as you can't create a hero that resembles the one you actually see in an average game in week 5
This is ridiculous
I wanted to make a balanced duel set with heroes that actually can appear in a normal game but those stupid restrictions totally prevent it -_-

You can change it by changing dpcoeff.xdb file which is located in data.pak/Maps/DuelPresets/.

oh, right about that.
Btw, you don't mean data.pak file which is in the data folder, do you? This thing is enormous, how on earth should I open it

A program named WinRar can do it, you can download a free trial - just Google it.

well, I could've guessed its simply a packed file, as the *.pak extension implies
Found the file, but there's no override folder, so should I unpack it, edit and re-pack again? Seems like a lot of work. isn't there a faster way?

This will spare us the need for a full lesson in modding. Download this, open with WinRar, edit the .xdb file at will in Notepad, save it and put the .h5u into your UserMods folder.

Well,I like the idea too but how can I make it have an effect?I mean I took the file from the data.pak an put it modified in the user mod folder and it does not change anything in the editor.

Taking just the file and putting it in there does nothing, you need to pack it into a .h5u. That's a renamed .pak file.

Uhh, I put the modified .h5u file in the userMODs directory but guess what, there is no change in the editor.. :/

Yeah, there is sometimes a weird problem where the mod just doesn't work for no apparent reason, even though everything's in place. It happens to me often. Maybe if you rename the .h5u into a .h5m and put it into the Maps folder?

rename to .pak file and put it in data folder. That really works. Also works as a raw files put in data folder.

Bigjocker is right, the mapeditor.exe file reacts only to mods installed in the data folder while the game.exe reacts to mods installed in all the three folders.

yep, that's true. Now I can change the level.
Now to figure out which of those parameters actually forces the weird unit limit and I can start my work
thanks guys!

change number 6 (multiplier of base weekly growth) to any other i.e. 30. And better also change the MAX cost from 35000 to 500000 or something.
