future possibilities for h3?
hi just out of curiosity does toh have any ideas for expanding there tournments for h3 or are there any plans for h3?

Since the number of reported H3 games is extremely low, i doubt there will be any more support for h3 aside the standard game which can be reported as usual.

the recorded number of h3 in relation to toh or other tournements which is alive for h3? toh is possibly low cause they don't offer anything close to what the other 2 major tourneys offer. And between them they have an ever growing number of games reported. The reason im asking if toh will join in is only cause its nice to have a few tourney's running, gives more choice.There is even a lot of new players being introduced to h3 and some are very good too.

You have got to be kidding me!!!! Heroes 3 is over 10 years OLD!!! Let it rest in peace! I bet most of you guys still use an outhouse instead of indoor bathroom?!?!?!?! When something better comes along... EVOLVE with it!

wow tats real mature post jinxer or whatever ur nick is, i am asking for a toh official or someone who is resposible to give me a responsible answer not a clown. If it is tat outdated why did toh suddenly start supporting it? The question is simple and requires a sensible answer.

Well he may have his downsides (lots of them  ), but he's a respected member of the community and far from a clownish figure.

Everyone is way to serious!!!
TOH did not just start supporting Heroes 3. TOH was established around Heroes 3 and was main support tournament for heroes 3 for YEARS!
And thanks for your kind words Valky... to bad there are becoming less and less respectable players in TOH every day from what I have recently discovered

Hi,
Well as some fellas have already mentioned, ToH supports H3 ( and why not ? - The Dentist has been supporting it for almost a decade, according to the ToH history )
- If you want evolving there is this and they are doing a great job of offering all sorts ( as far as I can tell )

Chess, football, monopoly, baseball, tetris, Diablo 2, etc....all more than 10 years old....and still played. It is not a question of age...it is a question of class and liking.

---- All of these game have not evolved!! They are the same game. There is no better newer fresher version of these games. So its a very poor example.
I will admit tho... Heroes 5 Hammer of Fate was near perfect verison... and TOTE took several HUGE steps backwards

Guys, its simple. Heroes3 is pretty much dead as long as there is no such thing as 'microsoft gaming zone' to support the chat, etc...
Unless I actually make something like that, we will never have enough activity for a true subtournament. A little show of faith from the H3 members would have been nice too... ie. reporting their h3 games for ToH rankings. As far as I can see, reported games for h3 ToH is only Buck vs. Greystole haha.
So two active h3 players does not warrant a full-on tournament that not even devangle will join. Why do I say that devangle would not join? Because I've found over the recent years that there are a few h3 players who will be active on the board pushing an idea, but when I enact it, they disappear.

omg  Ves, u really don't know about Gamespy or Heroes.by or WCL or Russian, Lithuanian, Polish homm3 leagues or homm3 TE? maybe low number of h3 games that is reported in TOH is caused by your decisions to erase all h3 history of games and not to support h3 at all for 10 month  ? Personally i was very frustrated to see empty page instead of my 320 reports and was very frustrated that you left h3 at hard time when Zone was closed and WW was abandoned...However i will be happy to see h3 support on TOH too as far as it brings competition back and may increase number of h3 players Even though your funny rating formula may give penalty for win

Personally, I began in microsoft gaming zone, and I switched to Gamespy, and I find it as efficient as microsoft gaming zone was, except some bugs or little problems, but nothing that prevents it to stay a meeting point. Some previous users of microsoft gaming zone, were also more reluctant to Gamespy in the beginning (like myself), by some kind of nostalgy, and a different way of playing from those who were already using Gamespy. But this is now the past, and I am happy to see that nowadays still many H3 players are present, and I have the impression that their number has increased.
So, whatever the meeting point is, the wish and the interest for H3 is still indeed very present, and has gone through the disparition of microsoft gaming zone. Give it the same possibilities as an H5, and I am pretty sure that there will be more H3 than H5 players. This, because, having beautiful graphics on screen is very beautiful, but the major part of a game is the way it is played, not the way it is shown.
And where do the H5 players meet, actually ?

Sag, apart from Gamespy, do the other places you speak about also give a meeting point in real time, that presents similar functionalities as GS ? (central chat, list of players online, possibility to make room and discuss) ?? I saw speaking about other chats sometimes, also some meet on hamachi or msn, but there we contact one by one, this is not the same as a community that we have in Gs. So if there is another place that offers this aspect of community, I would be interested to know it ..

My message was in reaction not only to "chat" but also to "Heroes3 is pretty much dead". At least 5 communities are alive, active and developing . Each community has own preferred meeting place. Polish league has a kind of online chat/rooms. Russians prefer to use forum/ICQ. Bulgarians prefer to use Skype/Gamespy. LRH had (has?) chat room, not very active afaik. Also, i'm going to add chat/rooms to WCL in near future. Most international players come to Gamespy because this server is well-known, advertised and populated (20-40 people online 16.00-20.00 GMT).

Hey btw thank you very much for responding,i now understand tat there are no possibilities so thank you very much again.
As far as less activity is concerned, I suppose toh was once the place to be for h3, but no longer.There is a lot of competition on other tournements, and the content they offer, toh cannot compete with as far as h3 is concerned so naturaly there is only a few reportings. Other tourneys show the need to get more players into their tourneys. Im sure i do not have to tell you that you need to advertise yourself(toh) to get ppl to play it, gone are the days were ppl fight to be competing in toh (h3).
As far a pushing an idea and not being there to do it is concerned, well i can only speak for myself, and it is entirely on ppl not h3 players or h5 players, people are people if they let u down, then its those ppl and not h3 players. As far as iam concerned, when wcl launched i was there and actively participated, but now it has picked up so much that you don't need anyone to back it up.
