Could be a dead ringer for a human-sized robot piloted by a squirrel with a troubled past and nothing left to lose.

The funny thing is, that in some weird, non-literal way it could even be true to an extent. Meep-meep!

He likes posting in the Wastelands, so he hasn't made much of an impression upon me, either positive or negative.

Ah, yes, the Wastelands... A shady, tempting little nook, where all is welcome and none is judged. You should come visit now and then -we even have cookies once in a while!-

like to party, like to post, like games, like vampire stories

No, not really, depends, definitely not

Polly does not want a cracker. He is exactly what he says, knowledgeable in all languages but a master of none. He demonstrates a type of self-deprecating humor that can be rather amusing at times, though he should learn not to stress this too much as he is a rather nice and creative guy. Take some credit for yourself once in a while.

Yes, I do not want crackers - I need crackers. *menacing squawk*...
Well, I never said I mastered all the languages I know; currently I consider myself to be an expert in only two of them not including my native one. But one day, I am definitely going to master each and every one.
I do not consider myself funny though.

I like this member. There is not a post by this member, I didn't like reading. the username is aptly chosen. He is mostly kind and his style of posting is eloquent, from what I've seen. Sadly, it's hard to remember more about him, since I'm not hitting on him, all the time.

Thanks!

MOD BROWN NOSER...! Eh, generally light-hearted and funny guy, courteous too. Quite active poster who I'm sure we'll get to know better in time.

!ton ma I Thanks! That time may be long, though, because just when I thought *** was over, it ricocheted back to the fan.

Poly, poly, doesn't ring any bells, joking, everyone knows who Poly the crack addict parrot is, 'tis just a funny little thing I have reserved only to put a smile on my face on a rainy day, though sometimes I wonder whether he's under the influence of crack when he posts.

Well, sometimes I am under the influence...

of crackers, does that count?

"The Game Master" (I think), nice guy, funny, friendly, likes to talk, non spammy.

Nah, much as I'd like to be one, I lack the RL friends for it. It's weird that so many people think I am funny... I most definitely am not. The non spammy thing I object to vehemently, as 90% of my posts is actually spam.

"Emotionally unstable" is the first thing that comes to mind. I can feel this person's anxieties bleeding through into his posts the way cold water bleeds through a glass in search of warmth. There currently aren't any notable admirable qualities that I could name for him. A notable drawback is, as mentioned, the fact that he seems like a very depressed, restless individual. The fact that he's asked to be banned from the forum on more than one occasion hasn't helped my image of him.

Well, if You get into my head, You could at least do me the courtesy of connecting the dots right. As for the banning thing, I had my reasons.

I don't know him rly. He tries hard to be relevant and funny... and doesn't really succeed imho. Colour me unimpressed.

Okay... Wait, we only have 'lethargic', 'uncaring' and 'serious'. Would a mixture of these three be okay with You?
As I said, I don't care about being funny or relevant, I come here to spam.

Ivor is an odd one, I think that he truly fashions himself as a noble of the HCs, when all know that the only ones with true power here are teh mods, and that they only serve at the behest of the almighty Val. honestly though, sometimes the "Better than you" attitude can be a bit much, and Ivor seems to hold a grudge. Other than that, Ivor is a good poster with impeccable grammar skills (Which come from repeated edits and reviews of his posts XP)

I didn't think it would show through this much. I fancy HC as a playground, a small version of real life as it were, I try to be as honest as possible, even if it seems a little pretentious. And yes I always edit and re-read a dozen times to see if it gives the right message, there's a famous Hungarian sentence that depicts the severity of a single misplaced comma.

Quote:
His posts vary between perceptive and difficult to understand. He occasionally resorts to insults in discussions, which is unproductive.

I try to see all angles, than use the most advantageous, depending on the objective (which is rarely given nor shown in discussions) as for insults, I recall no indirect, and certainly no direct insults. Maybe 'twas a mistake?

Quote:
Sometimes, his spamming manages to be funny. His latest avatar is really creepy.

I don't aim for laughs, but it's better to put a smile on a person's face than tears. As for my avatar...

Quote:
Ivor is a nice guy to talk to, intelligent and polite. He has a thing for being very vague in topics, often making questions or statements that seem totally irrelevant. This can often lead to him derailing topics slightly, and often makes me confused in a "what the hell does he want?" kinda way. Be a bit more specific and you get better answers.

Vagueness has a tendency to spike higher in results, though there is an equal chance of failing, but it conceals any form of purpose so keeps my intentions shrouded. (came out darker than I'd hope)
Quote:

Alas, I don't like this guy as much as I used to. So many of his posts these days are not-so-witty one line remarks that give me the feeling that he's bitter about... something, but I don't know what. I hope to see more super serial posts from him in the future. His primary admirable quality is the fact that his younger brother is living with him and he hasn't committed homicide yet.

I try to avoid conflicts and respect individuals freedom as much as I can, but human nature isn't so easily cast aside, and so yes the grudge thing is partially true, but it's nothing personal nor directed.

Quote:
Like Gnomes, he's someone I actually see posting a lot and SHOULD have formed a tangible opinion on by now but.... haven't for some reason. I do appreciate his potential as the ultimate townsperson though, as his normalcy is the PERFECT springboard for the wackier HC members (DarkShadow, Blizzardboy, Xerox, Alc, etc) to do their thing, with hilarious consequences.

I do like the more open minded members, and it's good fun.

Quote:

Strange? I don't know any members who do not qualify.

Not very in-depth but atleast you tried to do some research.

Quote:
the greatest case of cognitive dissonance I have ever encountered, overall, I'd say he's a very strange man who comes out with the most baffling things to say, around which I can not wrap my magnificent head. I still like him, despite everything though. he's an active member and quite opinionated. His opinions sometimes make no sense to me, but he's eager and active, so that's great, i think.

Yes it's quite hard to tone myself to fit all shoes, though when I try to do so, I fail with everyone. This goes back to one of my favorite quotes (Friedrich) something that I have to remember.

Thank you all.
As my father used to say "a gentleman is a gentleman even in hell." The situation doesn't determine who you are, it simply enables you to show it.

Even though I had not yet committed, here's what I got:

-likes beer expos, likes roleplaying, likes energy drinks, expert on Diablo interested in politics

-he's very responsible with the modship in his masculine, confident and strong hands. I like his sense of humor and his way of dealing with most people breaking CoC. it's a crying shame he isn't actively running an rpg nowadays (but then again: it's a crying shame the glade is the way t is, right now.)

-An intelligent fellow with entertaining stories about his stupid clients. He's a lawyer, so I'd expect him to enjoy extended debates, but he doesn't participate in them much. I'd like to see him post more.

-Didn't have the pleasure to get to know the man before he was gifted mod powers by the obviously drunk Valeryi    But he seems to be warming up to the chair of ultimate power, regardless of the fact that he spends more time in the VW than in the Glade. A great guy, though could be a little bit more ambitious.

-Cool, non spamy (didn't see his dark side yet), friendly, respected member.

-Mods are awesome. By extension, Omega is awesome. Plus,I hear he's an attorney now? If true, that makes him more unique than a unicorn: An attorney with personality! W00t!

-A totally psychotic lawyer who has a sado-mascochistic love/hate relationship with his job. also, poultrycide <3

-Now, Omega frightens me. most likely because he destroys things like people's hopes and dreams. One of the more active moderators, Omega is still a cool guy. Not quite Elvin (Then again, who is?) but definitely cut out for the job. Good luck, Omega!

-How do we know YOU aren't a dead ringer for a human-sized robot piloted by a squirrel with a troubled past and nothing left to lose? HMM??

Well, I received some very odd feedback.

Quote:
I am convinced he is a sock puppet.  The creepy type of sock puppet that guys in trench coats use to lure little kids.  He says he has memory issues, but .. don't you have to have a mind to have memory issues?  He is definitely not a squirrel in a human sized suit bent on world conquest...oh no my precious...he is not.

Ok...so that was not really my feedback.  Here is the real deal.

Quote:
Mytical is the lord and master of the Glade, and a very favored patron of the Tavern. He has recently been battling bouts of disease, with cancer being the most recent battle he has fought. He is back in full swing, moderating the Glad as he did in his glory days and even running a longer lasting RP that promises to be thoroughly epic.

Once lord and master, I passed the torch to Omega..then he screamed in pain and reminded me that I handed him the burning end.   Just not able to be as active as I once was.  Honestly not back to full swing, and it might be a long time until I am.  I do try however.

Quote:
A nice and gentle person who always seems to mean well.
Has remained so throughout his ill periods as well, which is commendable. I know his "chaotic" personality is due to a somewhat inconsistent memory, which I think we can all sympathize with, but unfortunately being chaotic and inconsistent is not a good quality for a moderator at all. Mods need to be consistent or otherwise people call them out on hypocrisy, as in "why was I penalized but not that guy" and so on. You took up the modsword because the forum needed a moderator, and you've done an overall good job, but I don't think the job has been too good to you personally... just unnecessary stress. I don't think being a forum moderator is a responsibility you should carry right now.

Thank you for the kind words, and I wish I could say you're wrong..but I can't.  I honestly have not been much of a Moderator lately at all.

Quote:
Hope he gets better. I liked reading his posts, it's a shame he's too tired to post much now. Get well soon.

All I can say to this is thanks..and Vae Victis.

Quote:
Could be a dead ringer for a human-sized robot piloted by a squirrel with a troubled past and nothing left to lose.

You forgot bent on word conquest.

Quote:
I really liked Mytical before, but ever since i stopped posting regularly I realized that he has become a very dour individual since being given modhood. I don't think the pressure of becoming a mod AND his irl issues (constant surgery, transsexual and otherwise) did well to him. Now, he's mostly an Eeyore who LOST a great deal of their initial humour. Not an evolution I'd support.

Refreshing honesty, but you have one thing wrong.  I have a great sense of humor..not my fault it goes over your head

Quote:
Responsible mod. I hope he pulls through. Always very kind and open-minded, even though we may disagree a lot. I share the same great weakness of laziness. It's because we are both amazing and brilliant people. Too bad, we see little of that nowadays (which is understandable)

Again tense problem here.  WAS a responsible mod.

Quote:
A good friend of mine, a respected Game Master, enduring, nice guy, has a bad life in these days, friendly, non spammy.

I still think if in the right mood, I can spam with the greats.

Quote:
I have virtually zero contact with this person. He's still alive, so I guess that's always a positive thing.

Are you SURE it is a positive thing???

Quote:
Mods are awesome. By extension, Mytical is awesome. Plus, I heard he's battling a serious illness? If true, not giving up makes him even more awesome.

Not one serious illness..a couple..but meh what doesn't kill you makes chocolate cake or some such wise proverb.  But yes, yes I am awesome.

Quote:
I'm unfamiliar with the guy, but he seems to be one of the gentler mods, brings life to the Glade, but there's still a certain air of feminism around him, best of both worlds, eh?  His posting style always has an air of civility to it, a great guy, I'm hoping that he remains at HC for many years to come.

Excellent..my insidious plan is almost complete.  In a mere 50 years I will RULE THE WORLD!  Muhahahahaha.  Btw..thank you the kind words.

Looks like we all got this one...

Quote:
He seems light-hearted, kind, and cute(as in, he occasionally reminds me of a close family member)... so he's probably an undercover secret agent working a nefarious angle. Nevertheless, he may grow to be a pillar of the community in the years to come.

My name is Smith. Agent Smith.
And, yeah, I plan on sticking here for quite some time.

Quote:
This guy be young. he has much to say, well, a lot of one-liners and little content from what I have seen, so far. Nothing really obnoxious about him, (but then again, I didn't pay too much attention to the spats he had with azagal.) He's pretty self-conscience and reminds me a little of myself when I was a younger creature. I'm sure he will overcome this personal weakness one day.  He really is a spammer. If I were to give advice about this place to him, it would be to stop posting incredibly short posts (you don't need to give diatribes worthy of Solzhenitsyn, like they did in the olden days, but, though brevity is the soul of wit, I feel as if what he has to say is quite insubstantial. Also, he apparently used to play Rome: Total war. I LOVE YOU, MAN. he strikes me as a little bit whiney and never satisfied with anything.

Well, teh spammers are the most popular members of the community.
About RTW: Yeah, I did play it when I was younger and it was AWESOME! Tsar, you did pay attention to what I was doing on HC

Quote:
Well I actually *do* remember him now. Strikes me as a very young, naive poster, not unlike myself when I was the noob among Noobs. I think he has potential to become great though, but so far he's mostly a townsperson.

Townsperson, TOWNSPERSON!?

Well, yeah, I guess I am.

Quote:
very active,social,likes role playing,emotional

That's right, master! Short, but it has all of my attributes.

Quote:
Age is irrelevant on an internet forum since anyone can be anyone, but for Noob I gotta say he comes off as a kind of typical teenboy forumite. Seems very emotional and insecure, and I get the impression that he REALLY cares about what we think of him too, which isn't bad per say but... yeah I think one of the more important parts of growing up is learning not to care so much. So when you read this feedback Noob, do care and take it to heart, but don't let what anybody says put you down. Learn from it, adapt and move on. In fact apply that to your whole life and not just HC.
Oh and make sure not to trust blindly in the advice from internet strangers.

I can't care less - else I won't be myself anymore

Quote:
Noob is a nubling, one of the newest posters that appears to be here to stay. He is somewhat active in the Glade (one of the few of us who are), though it is only in a single RP. Otherwise, he spams mostly outside of the game forums and sticks to the fun stuff.

True, true... I could be more active in the Glade if there was another Medieval Fantasy RPG, but there isn't one at the moment...

Quote:
This young whippersnapper is pretty nice for this age and I hope he sticks around. He's impatient and has a lot to learn, but as a 14-year-old, I really can't hold this against him too much.

I will stick around. I visit HC, like, 30+ times a day, but, yeah, I am impatient which doesn't help me much.

Quote:
Really likes Hangman, but keeps getting hanged. He should be more careful.

I think that this explains a lot! But only a few can see what it means.

This is all. Thanks for the feedback! Hope that the next time it will be even better.
