It was sad he didnt have time to enter, it would be good to see more entries. Seriously, THREE entries? -.-

I looked forward to see your idea. Now it sounds like you have died

There are four entries... It would be so funny if GL would snatch third place from right under my nose.

GLs RPG is not even completed or even started -.-
He has a map and some a very small amount of information about whats going on. I hardly call that a complete entry.

Ok I am now judging these entries.  I will be giving initial scores as I judge them, which may or may not change at the end.  Each entry will recieve from 0-60 points from me.  The other judges scores and my own will be added together and divided by number of judges for a final score.

First Xerox.

Creativity (originality) - Lots of detail and thought went into this one.  I like the originality and creativity.  The long background doesn hurt either.  8/10

Playability - I think this entry is very playable, and would keep interest up for some time to come.  Might get a little confusing to new players however.  7.5/10

Entertainment value - 10/10 What can I say here?  I know I would be entertained.

How easy to start up.-   I think new players might be a little confused at first which would add to how long a start up is.  Start up is important.  However, I think once going it would be great so start up balances out to 7/10

How easy to get a new person involved/wrote in. Well of course depends on the person, but this is your first low score.  Think it would be a bit complicated for a first time player.  5/10

Bonus (Each judges own criteria) Over all a solid entry, and the most entertaining of the lot. (despite some low scores).  8/10

Dagoth

Creativity (originality) - Less then some of the entries, but stands up on its own also. It is an interesting game as long as you didn't have to have a 'prearranged' character.  I love the secrets part of it and that gives you a bit higher score then you would have got. 7/10

Playability - Your playablity score would be high, because it is a bit more simple (note : Simple is not a bad thing).  8/10

Entertainment value - (Sorry about this, but I have to be a judge here).  The same thing that increased your creativity hurts your entertainment value.  You are assigning people a secret, when a character (within reason) and their backgrounds (etc) should be made by the players. 7.5/10  (please remember this is subjective and only my opinon).

How easy to start up.  Super easy to start up (besides the secret part which doesn't hurt this score)  8/10

How easy to get a new person involved/wrote in.  However the secret does affect this score.  7/10

Bonus (Each judges own criteria) Despite it's flaw, would be one I would play first, because of its ease of getting started. 6/10

Asheera
Ok whew, that was a LOT of work you put into this.  I want to give you a for all that effort.

Creativity (originality) - What can I say it was amazing.  10/10

Playability - One of the rough points.  So much information comes at a price.  Still very playable tho.  7/10

Entertainment value - I would be entertained for years at this game.  Probably become addicted to.  10/10

How easy to start up. Again for every upside there is a down side. Think it would be a rough start up.  This score would be a bit low.
5.5/10 (note this is not a bad thing.  Sometimes serious gamers like it when just not everybody can pick it up in 2 minutes)

How easy to get a new person involved/wrote in.  Again, a new person (Unless a seasoned vet) would be a bit lost.  However, it is not all bad here. 7.5/10

Bonus (Each judges own criteria) - My favorite so far over all (despite some low score areas).   8.5/10

Don't worry, I think you could be like Simon Cowell in this contest and we wouldn't say a thing. I prefer people to say exactly what they think (I believe almost everyone does) so be as harsh as you can (I'm looking at you OD and William)! Like azagal once said: With criticism we can better ourselves (further extracting some wisdom that azagal blurts out, sometimes).

I have one done so far.  I did not anticipate such detailed entries.  I'll get the rest done after I finish reviewing Trusts.  So help me if anyone adds anything more to his or her post, he or she is getting an automatic -5,000,000,000 in the bonus section.

EDIT:

Aw crap, I added to my post.

Xerox - Not quite the copy machine the name implies.

Creativity (originality) - Not bad.  Not anything new to fantasy but still an interesting read.  6/10

Playability - Seems simple enough.  Not too keen on the reputation system because as a game progresses, more than likely it will end up being ignored. - 7/10

Entertainment value - Seems like something that could go on for awhile. - 8/10

How easy to start up - While I do like a lot of options, not a lot of people do.  I think you went a bit overboard with the initial details. - 6/10

How easy to get a new person involved/wrote in - This is a killer in most rpgs, especially longer ones.  With the amount of detail you've put into character creation plus the history plus the pages of adventure to come, I think most newbies would be quickly overwhelmed and would lose interest.  6/10

Bonus (Each judges own criteria) - Anyone who mentioned multiple elf-types gets points knocked off.  Same with dragons.  There are too many elves and too many dragons in the world of fantasy.  Thankfully you didn't make everyone worship a dragon god.  A nit-picking thing is that you forgot to Worship line for the humans up on the top part of their bios.  6/10

Overall = 39/60

Dagoth - Pulling no punches for the D Man.

Creativity (originality) - I can tell you've pulled your inspiration from many sources.  I was reminded of several different games when I was reading through your story.  I must say your approach to the game itself is quite refreshing, even if DM abuse appears rampant.  However, I like those that shy away from the traditional.  8/10

Playability -  Not really sure I see the need to have races or even classes at all with the type of game it is.  The whole game feels more like a soap opera than anything because everyone is keeping secrets and trying to carry out their hidden agendas.  Actually, it feels more like a Tom Clancey Novel.  Plus the threat of being killed off by the DM may discourage people from taking risks.  5/10

Entertainment value - Not sure how long interest in the game would last.  Eventually the webs of deceit would become hopelessly complex as people were forced to create new and more elaborate ways of outfoxing the competition.  However, it sounds like an interesting challenge for those with scattered minds.  8/10

How easy to start up - Seems simple enough - Get some people involved and see how long you can keep the webs weaving.  7/10

How easy to get a new person involved/wrote in - Toast.  I must give you the Toast rating here.  The problem with a game with this complexity is that it's just going to keep getting more and more complicated as time goes on.  After about 3 pages, I think anybody with a hint of interest would probably be really lost.  They might give it a shot, but after 20 pages, I don't think you'd get any new people.  5/10

Bonus (Each judges own criteria) - Ugh.  More elves.  I know they are a staple but can't we have something more original than haiku spoutin', unicorn riding, braided, surrounded by glowing butterflies, tree huggers?  I like how your entry is not the stereotypical forum Rpg.  The style is certainly unique.  That being said, the races and classes feel tacked on for the heck of it.  Certain classes really can't offer much in terms of solutions.  With some refinement, I believe the game could be really interesting and draw in a new crowd to the Pyre.  6/10

Score - 39/60

Asheera - I don't have anything funny to add here... pickle weasel.

Creativity (originality) - Interesting story.  Certainly more interesting than testamentary devices.  7/10

Playability - You say it's open-ended but you have a finite conclusion…  Stats really don't mean a whole lot on a forum rpg.  Trust me, I know.  We had them in 5/8 and they were pretty much abandoned.  Really, it just serves to overly complicated things. The leveling up system also will fall to the wayside after awhile.  When it comes down to it, people are more concerned with a fun adventure than stats.  Again, I speak from experience.  7/10

Entertainment value - I will say it is certainly ambitious.  However, I think it might collapse underneath its own weight.  8/10

How easy to start up - You'd need a good amount of people to start up such an ambitious rpg and I think you may have some difficulty getting that support.    7/10

How easy to get a new person involved/wrote in - Another Toat recipient.  As Misty as pointed out, the regular rabble wouldn't have any problem joining up with the game.  Newer folk will probably be put off by the sheer magnitude of the game.  Plus it's only going to get more complicated as it goes on.  5/10

Bonus (Each judges own criteria) - Dark elves AND black elves?  It also looks like the Dark Elf is wielding Soul Edge.  I don't think Nightmare will appreciate that very much.  Anyways, I admire the amount of effort you put into the contest.  After a few revisions, I think you'd have a winner on your hands.  Adding a few more races might help too.  6/10

Score - 40/60
