nice bunch of maps,i played first 3 and dragon's cape and dragon hill are my favorites
all very good and balanced

however about that dragon's cape special version ,i know you made it for your clan war ,but it seems like many players have it and some insist on playing that version

so could you please put all changes made to map(i know dungeon is banned,rune of charge is banned,memory mentor is out,devine vengance is banned)

also i guess it would be ok to say on others map if anything is banned(like dv,or anything)

thank you for hard work and see you on the battlefield

Well done, mate If this thread features a few new maps in beggining of the new season, it might rightfully become one of the most popular.

IMO, dragon hill and master of disguise are the jewels of TOH maps.

First of all I should say that it's a pretty fun map

Played it and successfully cleared my area by week 3, I doubt you can take the garrison before week 4 anyway. One thing though, the transition from your starting area's neutrals and the ones you meet beyond the bridge seems a bit too much. As I see it it's an area that some factions can take week 2 and others will struggle to death if they can manage at all. Also I had an ore shortage, could be that I was unlucky with the campfires but the only ore I saw was the two units near the mine.

Btw the 'good' garrison seems out of reach with those 20 phoenixes.

Fun map. Just finished a single player vs. AI playthrough on heroic.  I chose haven/dougal as P1 vs vs random ai as P2, turned out to be haven/rutger.  I got lucky in the tavern with irina and vitorio. This surely made my creeping easier than usual.  Took first two dwellings and all mines except crystal, gold and dwarf warren first week.  I Iost 15 of 40 crssbowmen and half of my peasents.  Got more crossbowmen week two and took the rest of the north area.  went south weel 3 with imperials and cleared most of that except sphynxes.  Didn't do much week four except buy bag of gold and ring of speed at artifact merchant.

On last day of week four  AI came for my garison.  This was my favorite part of the map. I really enjoyed playing a built up mixed army.   I lost 5 green dagons falf my druids and most of my archers, AI loast entire army.  Only bad thing is the game was pretty much over. I stayed up top the next week and a half buying out my dwellings and  the AI cameback with a two week army under Grok. And lost again.  This time I was only left with about 40 Magi.  AFter that I just took my now huge army over to the other side and won without much fight.


-As much as I love the garison it pretty much maans you cant use this map for single player because of the stupid AI.

-the early creeping wss a bit hard unless you get lucky or go warmachines, which i didn't.  disclaimer (I chose dougal and  don't play multiplayer so i'm probably not as skilled as most people who are reading this)

-Although its a small map its plenty rich enough for haven/fortress/academy.

-I like 1 of each resource boost building per player including the library of enlightenment, but the library skews to benefiting nonstronghold. Maybe an extra 3rd level shrine or two to help out the orcs.

Does Art of War give resurrection AND regeneration?
If so, isn't it a little too much advantage for light factions?
Also, there was always a gold shortage (even if i took gold mine in week 1).

Actuall, me being haven and samiekl dungeon, i realized that this shortage of mony, it make slight spells and factions weaker compared to 'bad' towns. Cause towns like haven and sylvan need army power to be worthy having light magic. This 'advantage' is only to make things even. May i remind you samy that it took you 1 and a half meter shower to wipe out my entire pityful army, of 52 horses and.. some others i never had chance to see on battlefield

Just trying to get the map more balanced. I might get haven next time i play it . What i don't like is giving free (powerful) things. While regeneration is useful for every faction, resurrection is just too much. What if necro doesn't get bird and puppet in it's guild for example? Or what if dungeon gets no meteor, fire spell or implosion/deep freeze? So more money for the masses, and no resurrection

huuuuummm.. you see what you typing or you typing blind? what 'whatif' was that

the only whatif in light, considering many play no dv, teleprt only good under circumstance.. the whatif gets restricted in choice between that 'snow!-i-got-no-resurection' lev5 light spell, and 'yesss!-resurection' spell, which btw somtimes not even useful in final fights....

Haha, as strange as it may sound i got circle of winter, chain lightning and armaggedon a few times when playing in 1 town maps. Plus armor on summoning. This aside, if i play inferno i wanna have vampirism in mage guild and that's 33% chance to get. Let's say i get inferno vs sylvan. While sylvan get's 100% resurrection i am most possibly screwed up. What can i do with a puppet/cotn in mage guild? Add to this blind on level 4 and it's gg.
Like you said, mage guild level 4 doesn't need to be built most of the times. The only reason to do that is getting resurrection at level 5. Now there's no reason to build level 4&5 and end up with more resources.
In my opinion, regeneration is enough.
I'm not whining here about anything, just stating my opinion about the map.

Isn`t it an arcane library somewhere on the map anyway? And, usually you can check both month one and two, if playing hero, so pretty good chance to get what you need. Ressurection cost quite a lot (25 crystal?) for sylvan/fortress etc with a crystal need thats quite much if you ask me.  

Anyway, fun to discuss great maps

Vampirism costs 25 mercury if you're lucky enough to get it in the spell shop. So that's not the point, it's the 100% availability of a level 5 spell. Anyway, let's drop it...

Mapmaker has license to kill.. period.

As things are, with not too much mony in map, resurection spell more likely balances stuf than the opposite. You only have acceess for it in endgame anyway.. and regeneration is mebe more powerful cause may get early enough
