How did you make it look so good?

Absolutely fantastic creature, however may be hard to deal with indeed. Its power rating is equal to the Phoenixes.

Not to mention we already have some crappy tier 4 basilisks avaliable

Oops, sorry. I din't mean to be offensive. Just these old creatures can't stand against the latest releases.

The download site doesn't show at all.

I agree that the light green colour looks perfect but yet I prefer Ceph's Basilisk. In my opinion Lava dragon is not the best creature and not too interesting to clone it in different variations - we already have a crystal dragon based on it, and Cepheus Basilisks look like they are completely new in the game, we are not used to their looks)))
But this is only my opinion))

Edit:  Oh and btw, I think vorpal sword is not the best ability for a lizard. I would suggest replacing 2-square attack with Lizards Byte and vorpal sword with regeneration. I think this would fit better)
Maybe stats should be lowered and stun ability added - torpor or blinding attack for example

actually I thought it could be better, but I'm quite lazy making texture. I used a texture which exists in The Gimp and colored it green)

maybe he meant they would die in a fight against my basilisk.

at the beginning I wanted to use the rainbow dragon, and make it a walker by removing his wings and changing the animset, but didn't know how to do. I wanted to make it look like a massive serpent, or lizard, and the lava dragon seemed perfect.
btw, I don't remember a NCF creature using the lava dragon model, the crystal dragon uses the magma dragon.

it's meant to be a "real" basilisk, not a H3 basilisk. in the mythology it is said that basilisks kill with their gaze or their breath, not that they stun or paralyze or blind people.

I like this Basilisk, since it truly is baleful and powerful. You need some overpowered creatures to provide a real threat to enemies and you. Without 'em, life would be easy .

I think it looks kinda odd, it looks like a Lava Dragon which has been covered with plants. Can we see it on another terrain than grass perhaps?

it was kinda random, I saw the phoenix has more than 8500 power points, so I gave this power to the basilisk.

I like how it looks, But I don't like the name (it isn't bad, just we have another NCF based Basilisk).

I don't think it's that overpowered. Although my spreadsheet is rather arbitrary in some of its numbers, it gives a rating of 6185, which is actually pretty average for a level 7. Although this can not be taken completely at face value, it does give an indication that it's not way off (like 8500 would be).

Seriously, Fauch, Basilisk is a creature already created.....

It is still listed there:

http://www.heroes-fr.com/pages/NCF_presentation.php

Why not change the name of your new creature, simply?

like...mhhh... Grass Dragon or Dragon of Herbs ...

Anyway, I think that re-use the same name of another creature is not cool...

Or perhaps "Greater Basilisk" to show that urs and the lizard-made basilisk are related...

And...Salamander!!!

Ya, I know very well this creatures and I'm sure that Fauch knows this three too.

My opinion is that this three creatures are important and must go to exist.

It's a best idea for Fauch to find another name for his new creature.

Come on, Fauch you have enough imagination to find it.

OMG! Here is a perfect example of an evolution moving towards a pure chaos

Hem! Hem! folder for Neutral ones exists!

yeah I know, I didn't want to change all the links and the names of all the repertories.
anyway "dwarf" in the links, doesn't mean the creature is related to the dwarf faction in any way.

and I knew cepheus made basilisks too, but I wanted to make a different basilisk.
ok, if you really need another name, I suggest basilisk king.

Isn't all link must be changed while creating of creature.

Ex: a PatternAttack link doesn't need to change...same things for texture, anim etc

(with exception, if the PatternAttack's code is directly writed in the GameMechanics File of creature,
then I seriously suggest to remove it from and put it in a own file.)

But I think that main links files must respect tree structures files, It's important
not for the game...but for humans..

Ex: a AdvMapObject that represents a neutral creature must be in neutral folder...

You already know that exists a mess in data.pak

Some Creators use « /MapObjects/Neutral »
and others prefer « /MapObjects/Neutrals »

Caution: a file named « /MapObjects/Neutrals/Basilisk.(AdvMapMonsterShared).xdb » already exists

I think that it is correct.

King is a title, there should be only one King but why not Royal Basilisk? It's basically the same as idea...
