Damn, his comp crashed again. And doesn't feel like trying again so he left it for tomorrow. Worst part is, tomorrow I'll be pretty busy, don't know if I'll be able to play.

It crashed immediately after we started the game. I got Sylvan and he Inferno, but unfortunately the last version is random-only so we can't choose the same next time.

In that case I'd try the non random version for same matchups.
Edit: Here, use this. What may concern you on this matchup is the stormwind fix, cost reduction for cloak of sylanna(inferno quest) and town portal enabled just in case anyone forgets something. Also added a minor and major artifact for each faction like in the random version.

Hey Zamfir, it seems I'll be able to play some time today. When you're reading this, just set up a time when we should play, I can do the other work I have to do anytime so I can make time for the play. However, download the map linked above, make sure it works, make sure your comp is OK and other stuff like that BEFORE we will try to play.
Set a time to play and don't delay it or something else. I'm seriously getting tired of all these days where I make some time for you, and it all goes wrong. You do realize most of my plans and such are getting messed up? I have a life too, you know, you're not the center of the world, my time is as precious as yours.
Oh and btw if you don't read this until some time later I will get busy and most probably will have to play tonight at some time between 9 PM and 10. I'll edit this post to inform you of this if you don't reply until then.
EDIT: Ok then we'll leave it for tonight around 9 to 10 PM.

Sure, sounds fine for me. 
I'll try to be here at 21:00, but at worst I'll be here at 21:30... just make sure we won't waste any more time with any unexpected problem, fix them before tonight
Last game, Sylvan (me) vs Inferno (Zamfir)
Nothing spectacular, it was just a massacre. I think Zamfir didn't have good skills either, no Dark vs Sylvan and a flameless ballista...
Also I should have moved those Arcanes at their starting place so the Grunts wouldn't have been able to jump at them. D'oh, long explanation why I moved them there, not going into details but suffice to say I had some plan in mind, but forgot about the Grunts.
My Resurrection healed more HP than the entire AA stack lol

Well, my skills sucked. I spent 15K on the Mentor, but those good skills refused to show up...
In these conditions, I had to rely on a lame Deep Freeze (only 300 dmg!!!!!!!). I had Frenzy, but I was reluctant to cast it, not being sure how to handle an Inferno army.
Considering I haven't played Inferno on a regular basis since summer 2007, the battle ended bad.

I didn't play Orcs at all before the Tournament lol, would you believe that? Yet in my first game I won VS Elvin's Sylvan with them. It seems for me it was enough some theory and reading their abilities to make a good plan and strategy.

Yes, but I'm still at HoF campaings. I don't even know the alternative upgrades well.
But I guess you're right. I should start reading strategy guides now, and not when I start ToTE, like I planned previously.

That said orcs vs sylvan were stronger then But I do not deny that you handled them nicely, posts are not a serious substitute for experience but they can help a lot for sure.
You had good stats both but inferno probably needed defense there. With a nicely buffed sylvan army it's hard for a destructive inferno to turn a game around. Nice teleport move, I was wondering why you let the grunts alive till that point.
Veco said he would be back on Thursday so we'll probably have the final then. At the very worst I may delay it till Saturday because I'm having an exam again.

Elvin's mana shortage was a pain for him, but those darn Crystals were a pain for me so we're even
Dungeon vs Inferno 1:1
Suffice to say I was playing Inferno vs Dungeon. and he had icycle. and CoW + DF 
Inferno vs Sylvan 1:2
Inferno was quite sturdy and thank the gods he didn't cast that Mass Endurance at start (yes, he had it). Instead I got a luckily resisted Frenzy on Arcane's + a beautiful entrance by my hero while inferno was sitting ducks consumed with gating
I think I should comment here and thank the academy or smth but I'm too awesome for that

Congratulations, I did a few silly things myself but you won fair and square. Good to know that one of your students is lucky as hell catching up
In the first I didn't have many options so I went the toughness way with the occasional crystal but wit my low mana I could at best annoy him. I had vitality and weapons of might which explains my low initiative.
In the second run we got orcs vs academy but I asked that we at least play it for fun. I always liked that matchup and wanted to see for myself how it goes because lately I had heard complaints about the barbarians being weak.
Dungeon vs inferno I don't have much to say, it was a short affair with my arties and spells. Next was inferno vs sylvan but as you saw things didn't go so well for me My dilemma was whether I should start with frenzy or mass endurance, apparently I should have gone for the latter. I had ring of broken will that messed with his empathy a bit but it was not enough.
After that I requested a replay for inferno's honour and it proved that playing defensively would have given me the game after all. Btw I still keep overlooking those damn logs in that arena, it's like they are invisible to my eyes

On another note I regret to announce that zamfir is barred from the next and final tournament. There have been more than a few complaints about him and he had been warned, I am of course aware that it was not his intent but he still disrespects people's time and some standards have to be upheld. He can try again in the new season as long as he improves his mentality. If you have lack of free time plan it more carefully for the sake of both yourself and your opponents.
Finally those who plan to join the final tournament post here or contact me and I'll add you. When it is concluded the top ranking players will play in the finals so good luck
I still plan to have a chaos cup, chances are that I will run it simultaneously with the finals.
