Pretty good, keeps the right tone and atmosphere though at times it feels exaggerated. The constant doubt and mind games work well in building up the tension, nice

It started out simple. Two people going on a drive through Nevada to Vegas. Miles of desert highway, nobody for miles. They had planned it so it would take days instead of hours.
After loading up the vehicle, a old van, with all the neccessities. Food, water, a comfy bed for two, it was time for them to go. The first day of the trip was loads of fun. They sang songs, laughed, and took in all of the sights. That night, they lay the mattress out under the stars, and did what comes natural to two people in love.
The next morning, they loaded everything back up to the van. About two miles down the road, they come accross a man who's vehicle was spewing steam. It was a simpler time then, they stopped to help. Unfortunately, his vehicle was not going anywhere so they offered to take him into the nearest town.
As they rode, he become curious as to why everything smelled moldy. The van was almost brand new, and the two who picked him up were clean and neat. Yet the van stank. He decided they must have hit an animal. As they reached the gas station he got out and thanked them for the ride. He offered to pay them, but they refused. They drove off.
The man shook his head, he was suprised their were such nice people left in the world. He went inside and called a tow truck. While he was waiting, he picked up a old newspaper. The headlines read. "Tragic Death of two." The story went on to say how the bodies of two women were found next to a beat up van miles down the road. The women had been raped and killed, and the assailents were never caught. It had happened over 10 years ago that day.
The picture on the paper were the two who had picked him up.
