I really hate to post a thread on two different boards, but in this case I seem to be left without choice...the library of enlightenment hasn't been all that enlightning. I have a problem, and everybody over there has pummelled me with questions to make sure I haven't missed anything (which is a good thing to do! I commend them for that), but the problem is that nobody ever actually gets back to me or checks to see what the real story is, so I'm still left in the dark...
So here's the scoop. I'm on a Mac and don't have an editor for Heroes 3, so I can't mod a map in any way, and need someone to help me with a few things, but I have a primary concern. I have a map where the computers will *never* attack one another in the open (UNLESS one of them is blocking a path), which is abnormal behavior, because computers normally do attack one another in the open if one is sufficiently stronger than another. Here, however, it doesn't matter how much a superior force one computer has over another (20 devils VS 1 knoll, say), an attack will never occur. Comps will ONLY attack hostile computers that are in their castles, or of course human players even in the open. Quite simply, I'd like to know if there's a variable set in the map to cause this behavior, and whether it can be turned off.
As a reminder of some of the questions I've gotten from the other board, I'm quite certain that...
1. The computers in question actually are opponents of one another.
2. Builder/Explorer/Warrior has no influence on the outcome, none of them will attack a computer target in the open.
3. The computers always use their full movement, so it's not like the computers have a restriction of any kind. Their behavior is normal in every respect except this one.
Would someone be able to spend about 20 minutes with me over AIM or something to clear this up + to modify a few other simple things in the map while we're at it (ex. removing a few artifacts from the game, replacing a refugee camp with a standard dwelling...nothing extravagant)?
I'd appreciate any help, thank you.

It would be helpful for you to post what Heroes are you actually talking about, but since you mentioned the Library, I guess it is H3.
That being said, for a normal Heroes 3 map (i.e. no WoW scripts), this is an aquard behaviour indeed. Send me the map and I will test it myself to see what can be done, at doomnezeu@gmail.com

Actually, the "Library Of Enlightenment" I was referring to was the other forum on these boards for general Heroes discussion.  However, you're right, it is Heroes 3 (Complete to be exact), I apologize for not mentioning it.
I'll send the map to you with details.
