[MOD ToTE] Moved Herald of Death

After some sleep i have rethink my idea with Herald of Death so i propose to move it to, with some other changes:


In Enlightment Skill

Herald of Death    = Lord Of The Undead + Eternal Servitude

Other changes:

Lord Of The Undead = Scholar + Master Of Life + Mark Of The Necromancer

Haunted Mines      = Master of Life + Master of Conjuration + Herald Of Death

Howl of Terror     = Dark Renewal + Herald of Death + Haunted Mines

Dark Renewal       = Master of Curses + Master of Mind

Changes in: skill.xdb
Will work on ToTe 3.1
Changes gameplay

(First Post)Herald of Death in Leadership is an waste of skill slot an waste of such good perk. So why not move it in another location
I was thinking moving it to Summoning Magic and with this prerequisites:
Haunted Mines + Banshee Howl + Lord Of Undead
and put it instead Banish as an prerequiste for Howl of Terror.
Of Course Haunted Mines would be as an old times only requiering Master of Life(but this can be also changed)

Now i have questions:
- to do this i only need to edit Skill.xdb right ?
- would somebody help me after i will make such change to change in game Xazardous Skillwheel
- have an any better idea or diffrent propostion

You'll just need to make a simple change in Skills.xdb, yes.

As for the idea ... It's not too bad, actually, although Herald Of Death potentially is quite potent, albeit not really so without Diplomacy I guess. Haunted Mines is much worse in that regard I presume. I guess it'll do well on your general crusade to make Necropolis totally imbalanced.

Wow I'm Necro Crusader
Yeah i make some fun mods and released some more close to balance(AA for example)I could have done this one before asking HC for opinion.
So before i do something bye bye balance style i ask:
So what can be done to balance it more, what would you do

Actually, balance wise I think the major issue is with Haunted Mines. Blame Nival for that - I don't know if we can mod it, so that it provides less Ghosts, because as it is, I think it's pretty easy to abuse, which sort of provides us with a dilemma, as we don't really want it too much in the game, but locking it completely out of game (as it is presently) is somewhat lame. And I guess that missing out on Fire Warriors and Elemental Balance sort of balances it a bit.

Well,his mod for necro power mod is good.But I have overpowered necro even more.Yay.


Spectral dragons with evil eye,death stare -2 and life drain

Ghost dragons with expert sorrow,incorporeal and flight aura.
I somehow buffed the death wail ability of banshee.It does 700 damage when -2 or -3 morale and gave it crippling wound with fear.
Wraith got half circle attack and crippling wound.



But the most buffed unit in game is the death knight,

Lifedrain,cleave,piercing arrow(Oblivion blade)and no enemy retaliation.

I am a necro crusader too.I made Inferno OP too,now i need to make all the other factions OP.

I actually did not cuz I have many mods.If I would do I would need to change some things more cuz the mods I downloaded than need crediting and that is tedious.

I have mods from sharperning,some campaign hero mods... and so on.

I would need to separate them but it would be possible.

Cool idea for mod.How about the Legions of Darkness?


Recently I buffed any other side,haven is OP,fortress more or less,dungeon more qualitative,Stronghold(not changed,need to change),
Academy(same as stronghold),Necro(like in your mod,a bit more buffed and alike),Sylvan(Elven luck brings 3 more damage,was 2.5)



Best change i think was that I gave precision shot have 5 tiles,was 3.It is now like the sharp shooter of sylvan.

Inferno is cool now,I made summoned units attack immediately when they summon and come 80% more than the base when you have swarming gate.
I may post my mod but I need to find a place to upload.

Yes i was thinking about the same to boost every faction and test this mod(the results of this can be really unpredictable). It seem that you have done much already and you proably have greater knowledge about the modding( i do no graphic, texture changes) but i will be glad to help in any way i can.
Making campaing is ambicous because of makin maps and story so i think a simple mod that enchances to the limits power of all factions is the best course of action.
I use www.speedyshare.com as you probably know but the upload place depends on how big the mods are, and how much you have them

After some time i agree with alcibiades that haunted mines can't be an easy accsess or pick, as mine first idea have made this so I think this is how it should like:

In Dark Magic skill:

Yes i think so!
I'm searching for a mod who will modifiate haunted mines in order to provides mores ghosts but i did'nt find anyone able to modifiate this skill.
Moreover there is lot of skills who aren't in the default.stats file like:
-chilling bones
-fiery wrath
-scholar
-arcane excellence
-protection
.....
Why?
Where are these skills?
