Translations

I have decided to inform all of the mambers about the meanings of their Names in different languages. Because of the fact that I'm not yet know all of the world's languages I need your help.

As for an example I'll start:

Sha_men - In Hebrew shamen means "fat".
Maniac - In Hebrew it is a slang word, so I can only tell it's usage, we say "maniac" about someone who won't share something, or won't help, or have done something not so useful to someone. In Russian it means "psycho".

I don't do this thread to insult someone, but to inform them, as I have just invented "If someone said to you that you have 'Kick Me!!!' it's much better that someone kicks you" (stupid, isn't it? I shold make it to my sig)

heh...

Maniac and Mystery are both similar to the greek words and they mean the same thing they do in english...

...Lith Maethor is not in any real language, it's Sindarin and stands for Ash Warrior... the one i really want to know what it means is Shae Trielle...

I didn't get you wrong...

I just followed up your translation and explained the chinese meaning of the word. By the way, your name reminds me of the word slave (also called slave in my language)..

No... Slava means "glory" in Bulgarian and I'm almost sure that it does also in Russian. About Dajek - if you remove the "k" and leave "Daje", it means in Bulgarian "even". Maybe I'll add some more later.

i got my nickname about 6-7 years ago, it means "little one". A friend of mine who was 5 cents taller than me gave it to me. I'm actually 190cm - but also at that period - being in students town - i've made lots of trouble and mistake - just some "little kid" - yeah - was only 18-19 - and yeah this and next year were mine most disastrous ones ... Though it was cool - being in Sofia's stundents town - i miss it...

If we'll change the "i" in "Nickman" to "a", then it will mean "Revenger"(not Ranger) in Hebrew.

Yes... Ìàëêèÿ (Malkia) means "THE little one" and only "little one" is Ìàëúê (Malak where the second "a" is pronounced as "u" in "but").

She probably wont like it but, shes away for a while.

I know where half of shae's name comes from. The "Trielle" part is from R.A. Salvatore's Dark elf series of books. In house Do'Urden, the younger daughters name Is "Trielle Baenre". Shae is right into Drow elves So thats where she got part of it. As for the Shae part, well In George A A Martin series books "Game of Thrones", there is a character called Shae, she is (or was) quite friendly with Tyrion Lannister, but maybe I should say no more on that subject
