serious question towards whoever is responsible in toh
Some days ago i checked my profile in toh and i had at around 1300 points. after that i was inactive for a week or more due to work and yesterday i played and lost a game against a player with 1000 points. today i won a game against him and i decided to check my points. to my surprise i saw that i have 1198. can someone tell me what happened? did the point per win/loss change in toh? someone took points away from me for some reason? i expect an answer

Had you checked for sure if he had reported at the time you looked at your profile? Though 1200 would still sound wrong. I haven't checked my points recently to notice anything out of the ordinary.

Well.... I just checked your profile in the Admin section... and there is NO notes listed about any penalties added or anything.. So you must have lost the points faster then you thought.
Either that.. or someone hacked your account and is playing as you and losing alot 
But when you play newbies like that you lose 35 points but can only win 5 points.. So if you play a few games like that would be no time to lose over 100 points.

Usually if i remember.
If someone with a higher rank loses to someone with a lower rank, then that person loses more points.
You dont get as many points losing to someone with a lower rank.
Like say I played Wiggy Wam in season 4.
I was a foot soldier & he was a Lord.
He beat me in random which most who knew him was a big surprise being a point hog & all.
He did not get really any points except the pleasure to actually play a fun random 
If I won, OH MAN I probally would of been almost a legionaire LOL
Point is higher ranked player does not get as many points beating a lower ranked player.
Vice versa the other way around.
I hope that dont make you inconsiderate on who you play with this knowledge.

Has nothing to do with rank... its a simple formula
Point Difference times .05 = total
Example
Vangelis 1300
Vesuvius 1030
Point Difference = 270 X .05 = 13.5
Win +30pts
Lose -20pts
So if vangelis lost to vesuvius... he would lose 20 points PLUS the point difference of 13.5 so he really loses 33.5 points for that loss.
If he would win.. he would win 30pts MINUS the 13.5pts for a profit of +16.5 points for his win.

where are the admins now? what about iohann's foolish reply? shouldn't he be banned or something? thats my hamachi information and it can easily be my toh ones. i am expecting and demanding an action against him. nobody has the right to publish passwords if he knows them. that means that he hacked my account and played. i hope now some of you understand that he WAS a cheater when i reported him.

as jinxer said when you play to a noob you lose 35-40 points, you cant lose more, and of course you cant lose 100+ that i lost. so it is obvious that iohann did that. let's see if the moderators that penalised others for less important reasons, will do something at last

If you really do have the same user and pass then you should change them immediately and never do the same mistake again. You NEVER make the same user and password because it is easy for hackers to get into your account and start messing around.
Usually a good password will consist of Letters (lower case and upper case) and numbers plus any symbols as well.

Maybe it wasnt a joke then, but using ones own name as a password is kind of obvious for people to try, especially when they admitt they do this publicly.

whatever password i use is my own choice, it doesn't justifies and makes innocent someone who cheats like that. of course i changed now but we will really see if at last some fair judgment will be given here

Sure it is your choice, but do you want a weak password which is easier to be hacked into or do you want a secure password which is harder to hack into? It's your choice in the end and I'm not going to force you to do what I tell you to do, I'm just offering advice on what you could do.

Well I checked the ranking list everyday.... and for Vangelis21'
he has been at 1205 for several days.... so if he play against a player with 1000 points.... (and lose) and play another game against that player and win... what will his current points be then?....
here it goes:
player X: 1000, Vangelis: 1205, Vangelis lose new points:
1029 1175
new game, Vangelis wins:
new points: 1016 1198
as you see pretty simple

the story is something like that. i was a baron with 1300+ points, after some losses i went down again a rank and got to 1200+ points. after a while i climbed up to baron with 1300+ and stayed there for some days because i was busy and wasnt playing. i am not sure it this happened after my 2 games with the new player or a little before but the sure thing is that i lost 100+ points out of nowhere. try to figure it out appreciated but i didnt stop in 1205 points

so my calculation is correct according to that score....

My calculation is correct ( if your opponent had 979 or 1029 points)
the result would be +/- 2 points not that big different in result imho....
but then again... most of us goes up and then down...
I guess you played alot of new players in the beginning of season II then you start playning some players with a little more exp. then you start to lose some games...
I'm not sure... but this can't be the end of the world...
BUT if someone has played as you then there will be a chase...
I don't think thats the issue here.....
