wait, take retaliation with a single goblin, then attack. next round move them back again if some stacks can reach you and try to lure them away from the wolfs using single goblins. try to avoid fighting big numbers of creatures who are faster then them.

Very nice unit, used mostly as fodder/blocker until a big bad battle. I would use Angels/Wyverns in their place if the chance presents it's self tho... in this case i would give them to a secondary hero. So most part of the game i would consider not using them and saving them, also i would replace them, otherwise use with haste and just hit that shooter : )
