Heroes in Combat - A new skill system?
Instead of the Heroes IV skill system, I have thought of a new one, featuring multiple lines of skills of a hero, which may cross each other and leads to more powerful abilities.

In this simplified example, there are three classes for Haven alone Each of them has three lines of skills, and at the end an ultimate skill. Most skills are self-explanatory. Take a look and comment as you like!

Interesting, but I'd say two classes/faction max. I'd also like to post an idea, what if artefact stat boosts only affected heroes, not the whole army, this would give heroes that oh so necessary stat boost, but without having to give a skill over to it (which would almost certainly make it overpowered), or alternatively, a hero might be limited to the percentage of his attack/defence he can boost his army by.

Good idea! Certain classes could focus more on might than magic, while other ones could be focused on might.

Hummm... I'm not sure...
It seems a pretty 'fixed' chain... It allows for little room for customization or a random chance at getting a certain skill, and it would pretty much leave every hero of the same class identical.
Unless I'm mistunderstanding the trees.
