A problem with "hot seat" multiplayer

Hi people!
I have a problem when I play a multiplayer game in "hot seat" mode.
I play with my brother against two bots. First we vanquish the two bots, then we stride for the final clash between us!
But there's a problem: when all bots are eliminated from the match, after a few turns the game crashes and it goes back to desktop. What should I try?

Is this HoMM3?

Get the latest patch. I had same problem and it fixed it.
