Thinking back on the recent past, Steve was sure this rain had something to do with what the Elder had told them. He was certain that he could use all the assistance he could obtain as well. This whole thing almost felt overwhelming. He almost stumbles while climbing the stairs, but catches himself with a quick hand from the father slowing him down.
"Well, I may be able to help cause the water to stop, but I think I am going to need Snorry's assistance with such a great task. Snorry looks quite strong, and can help me where I fail. Mind if Snorry comes along with me for a little bit?"

Lifting the doll to her ear again she nods as if listening to something. "Snorry says it is ok to lend you him, but you gotta promise to bring him back." she looks a little confused. "You can keep the egg though." She hands you the doll.

Steve gives the girl a smile, and accepts the doll. Stopping at the door to the next floor, Steve kneels to the ground, and swings his pack around. He places the doll inside, in a secure spot, and removes the egg. He then takes the cube in hand, and tries to recall how the elder showed them how to use it.
"Okay... This here, and this..."

Almost instantly there is a beep and a chirp. The box reopens and 'spits' out a creature that can fit in the palm of your hand. It looks like a catapiller with really light 'fur' and the same odd shaped eyes as Sprite. ((Look in ooc for stats/etc)). Though it has some resemblance to some bug pokemon, you can easily tell it is not of this world.
You can 'feel' its caution, and realise it is not sure what yet to make of you. It may take sometime to get it friendly toward you. That may have to wait, however, as the sky is getting darker and the wind and rain are still increasing in force.

Steve gives the little bug a rub down its back with his finger, and looks at it a little puzzled.
"So... Do I catch you, or do you catch yourself?"
Steve takes out a pokeball.
"Or do I even catch you at all? This all seems quite confusing."
Steve hears the thunder outside.
"Whatever the case may be, we should hurry. That storm isn't sounding too friendly, and I'm sure you're going to be the one that eases its wrath."
Steve looks down the stairs, seeing the waters still rising. He goes through the door, to the floor he's on, and looks for a window. He looks across the waters, to the eye of the storm.
"Looks like we need to get over there."

As the little 'piller seems to contemplate this, the box you hold suddenly beeps and accesses your Pokedex. As it had stored the creature, and was able to do a proper FULL scan, it includes the information on the pokemon into your Pokedex. Including the fact that a pokeball is not needed, but may be a wise move in case the light pokemon is injured.
The little bug slides off your hand and onto the window. It concentrates a little and uses it's string shot in a very unusual way. Soon you have a little boat, that seems to be waterproof, made of the silky strands. How to sit on it and not get stuck..seems to be YOUR problem.

Steve checks the Dex, and sees what it is making noise for. He sees the information on the pokemon, and how he should handle the pokeball situation.
"Alright. This ball is yours." Steve 'catches' the pokemon, which doesn't stick around in the ball for long, then creates the boat.
"And that looks like this string shot you can do....In the form of a boat! Interesting use of the string shot. Well done! I would guess it's pretty sticky, though. I'll look for some padding."
Steve dashes around for some cushions or some cloth to keep himself from getting stuck to it. As quick as he can, he returns to the boat, and gets on, with or without the separation. He makes sure the caterpillar is with, and they set sail.

Jeremy met the creature’s eyes through Harriet’s lense and screamed. He dove back inside, out of sight.
“There’s a big monster in the middle of the storm!” he announced to the room at large, face pale.

Hmm thats odd...
Looks like those pokemon could use a little assistance.
Derek Sent out Baltoy.
"Use confusion when that other pokemon uses flash."
Derek then set about analyzing the pokemon in the gym with his pokedex.

Cubone looks at it's trainer and sighs. It's little legs are not long, but it runs and grabs an escape rope from the shelves. It wraps it around it's bone and throws the bone..wrapping around the boat that is just now passing by (Steve's little boat made of thread). It hands the other end to its trainer with a stern look.

“Oh…um…okay.” Jeremy cased Harriet and wrapped the rope around his forearm. He paused, made to grab Cubone’s Pokeball and call her back, but stopped when she shook her head. “What do you want?” he asked, “You don’t look like you can swim.”
In answer, Cubone spread her stubby little arms.
Jeremy’s expression was bewildered. “You want a hug?”
Cubone slumped, shook her head and repeated the gesture, this time hopping up and down on her toes and waving her arms like wings.
“You want up?”
“Cubone!” A happy nod.
“Okay,” Jeremy scooped up the little Ground type, who scrambled over his shoulder and onto his pack.
“Cubone!” She pointed forward gallantly. Just then the rope went taunt and Jeremy was left with the choice of either braving the flood or having his hand yanked off. He stumbled out of the Mart and almost immediately lost his feet to the raging floodwaters.
“Ack!” Jeremy choked up mucky water and started to pull himself toward the boat. His arms were burning a bit as he clumsily dragged himself aboard.
Cubone hopped off him into the boat while Jeremy pulled himself into a seated position. She retrieved her bone while he just looked miserable.
“I hope you’re happy.”
“Cubone!”

In Pewter
Yari and Thor manage to elude Team Infinitus with the help of the little Abra. Unfortunately there is nowhere in town left that they can go, so they will have to exit the town or try teleporting into houses. It is still unclear what the goons are looking for, somebody in town might just know.
In Violet
As the boat speeds toward the Gym, the water has risen to about waist deep. Just as the sphere inside the Gym is finally taken down by the concentrated effort, the group in the boat come to a realisation. Without paddles they should be being pushed away from the eye of the storm, but instead they are being pulled toward it. They reach the Gym when they notice that the waves are not going out from the eye of the storm, but from the neaby water TO the storm. Stranger and stranger.

Jeremy tried in vain to squeeze some of the water out of his shirt before introducing himself to the other human occupant of the little web boat.
“Hi! Jeremy Williams, reporter. Or I will be,” he introduced himself earnestly, extending a hand. “Nice to meet you!”
“Cu, cubone!” The little Ground type waved her bone club for attention and pointed it in the direction of the Gym. Even with the sporadic light from the storm it was clear they were approaching fast. In fact, with no paddles, they had no way to stop—
Tunk.
Jeremy flinched as the little craft bumped lightly into the Gym wall. It was much quieter in front of them; the air that rushed and howled through the rest of the city was calm in the eye.
Jeremy eyed the Gym walls with sudden nervousness. Hand going to Harriet’s case, he asked, “Should we—should we go up?”

Standing on the top of a tall roof with view over the city of stone:
Thor scratched his back in quite the way you should not do in the public and said: "Well, this is no good. Can't set up my chair and camp in the crowd of goons can i?"
Yari scratching her head said in response: "Well, its obvious, old geez....."
Thor interrupted her quickly: "Shad up whippersnapper! I'm still not old enough brat! We either call in a tiger, or we kill the mice before that."
Yari: "?!?"
Thor *drags out a gigantic old map from his backpack along with other things which it should not be space enough to fit in that backpack then*, finished and says: "Got this map in an auction in 52 you see, its quite well drawn. It might be old but things rarely change place, since people quarrel ov..."
Yari *impatient*: "The bloody point gee....!"
Thor *interrupting*: "There is a police station somewhere to the south!" *draws in quickly a circle on the map then adds on a cross too while speaking*, "And we are at this cross or the other side of town, we either stay and attempt to find to help to solve the goon problem or get to the other place to get help!"
Yari: "Hey there is a patrol group over there?"
Thor: "Yes there is whippersnappers over there."
Yari: "Get your pokemon out of that red white ball thingy."
Thor: "Why? I don't take order from brats these days, its no long back in 42."
Yari: "Your cute little bear got metronome, what other moves it got then?"
Thor: "So what?"
Yari: "Tell me geezer, i got a plan!"
Thor *grabs out something from his backpack, it is a notebook and opens it to a random page then throws it over to Yari who barely manages to catch it before it falls off the building: "Read!"
Yari looks over the paper and reads over it:
Tackle - like in rugby, might do something against that pesky store owner i know
Metronome - A better dice roll, may bring crackers
Odor Sleuth - a total waist of time! Do not use! You alway hit anyway.
Defense Curl - Smooth and hard, abusive if only my cute ball could roll around
Amnesia - Mind over matter? But mind manipulation is useless if the trick is forgotten
Note: Aquire a move that is sure to make i giantic explosion if used, it looks so good. Besides it got its uses *a sketch of someting that could be assumed to be a bank with a hole in its side is badly sketched*
Yari *Looks a little disappointed or rather gives away a little "this guy IS insane look"*: "Well get your Munchlax out of that pokeball, we are going to to kill stones.... eh.... i mean goons!"
Thor *stares empthy into the air*: "Eh?"
Yari *drags out a pokeball and sends out Abra who looks quite asleep, well he always was*: "Abra, teleport me to this place!" *Yari points at the circle of the gigantic map*: "Lets go!"
*a swoosh is heard in the air as Abra and Yari disappears*
a minute later: *Yari and Abra swooshes back*
Yari: "Well now that the police is coming."
Thor *coughs*: "Oh they are either coming tomorrow, or their are bribed!"
Yari *sighs*: "Their the bloody police! Its their job!"
Thor: "Nevermind, teleport to that goon over there!" *points*
Yari *gets back into the thread*: "OK......... geezer....."
Yari and Thor along with the out of the ball Munchlax teleports towards random team Infinitus goon, Thor has already ordered Munchlax to use Tackle the closest goon before its pokemon is out of the ball and the fight begins. And then use it on other goons before they manage to react.

“Ack!” Jeremy choked up mucky water and started to pull himself toward the boat. His arms were burning a bit as he clumsily dragged himself aboard.
Cubone hopped off him into the boat while Jeremy pulled himself into a seated position. She retrieved her bone while he just looked miserable.
“I hope you’re happy.”
“Cubone!”
Steve was wondering who had decided to be crazy enough to try swimming their was to this little boat, until the person had climbed aboard. He recognized him to be the same one he followed off the previous boat they used to get to Violet. Someone who had some idea of what was going on, at least.

Steve extended his hand slowly, unsure of how he should take the excitement in this individual. Unsure, especially considering their surroundings, and his own skills with being a trainer. He takes the hand though, giving it a shake.
"Hello. My name is Steve, and this is," Steve couldn't recall the name of the pokemon, so he made up a name for the caterpillar on the spot. "Vi. So, you're progressing towards becoming a reporter? Well, that's a nice goal there. I'm working on my writing. I have written a few items, but nothing really epic. Not yet. I'm sure what I've just gotten myself into will sure assist that, though."

Gazing at the wall, and up, Steve was a little nervous himself. He looked at Vi, wondering to himself if he was ready for this. He looked up once more, then decided he had best take action before he thinks himself out of it.
"Vi, we could use a way up there."

The little 'piller seems to understand and fires several of it's string shot toward the roof. There is still the problem of how sticky the threads are however.
Cubone considers this for a bit, and places one of its bones on the thread and starts wrapping it around the bone. "Cu! Cubone!" It finishes and hands one to Steve..then it grabs another bone and it and the bug repeat the process and Cubone hands the other to the other in the boat. Pointing to the roof it waves its hands "Cu! Cu, cubone, cu!"

“You want us to go up now?” Jeremy asked, all the while eyeing the bone in his hand and wondering where she’d gotten the second one.
“Cubone!” the little Ground type nodded fervently. She climbed back up on top of his pack and peered over his shoulder to supervise.
“Um. Okay…” With a little experimenting and a lot more rocking of the boat than he would have liked, Jeremy managed to get the String Shot to wrap around the bone like a kite string, and start up the wall.

After watching the orb recoil from the attacks Derek dashes over to the other trainers.
"Do you know where that thing came from? or even what it is?" Derek asked with an inquisitive look. His baltoy followed him. its stoic form almost echoing his urgency.
He pauses briefly before extending his arm.
"Oh and I'm Derek."

Jeremy is able to successfully climb up to the roof, coming face to face with what is shaped like a Luxray only black with 'stars' covering it's body. Evil eyes glare at him and it utters a low growl, but it sounds more like a bird like creature then a feline creature.

The person introduces themselves as the gym leader of Violet City "The Name is Falkner. I think we may need to get to the roof quickly. Normally I would have just the thing, but all my pokemon are injured..."

As you enter the building the people inside look like they have seen a rough time. Most of the display cases are broken and empty, and the curator is pacing back and forth. "What can be at the river that has all these thugs in such an uproar? Why can't they just leave us alone?!"
