I would like to hear you saying that after cycling for 5 hours up the hill with, lets say, 30 kg luggage...

I didn't mean it in that sense of the word. This is not OSM you know
A human walk at 4-5 km an hour, a bike easly keeps 20 km an hour. Holding 28-34 km an hour is also easy if the terrain is not against you combined with the wind. If the terrain is really with you(straight downhill with no turns), then 55-65km an hour is reachable.
A car....... got a engine that needs some kind of fuel, no muscle power needed(in that sense). The bike is muscle powered and slower.
And besides, using a bike is training/exercise while driving is not.

For the note: I have crashed while using a bike, downhill with a sharp turn after 200-300 meters and the breaks was defect. Since i did not jump of the bike, i hit a wall(wood, and i did manage to turn a little so i did not get that injured), and i also had a helmet at the time. I crashed in about 45 km/h in speed, no bones broken. But i had trouble walking for 3 weeks afterwards, and lots of bruises. And that hurts....
