Modified towns opinions
Hi all ive been modding some towns and i would like every ones opinion thx
Fortress lvl 1 same
lvl 2 rune mages
lvl 3 same
lvl 4 keepers (stone thanes from NCF)
lvl 5 Ballistae from NCF
lvl 6 Fire bird Phoenix Thunderbird renamed to Roc fire roc thunder roc
lvl 7 same
Preserve lvl 1 same
lvl 2 wolves
lvl 3 same
lvl 4 same
lvl 5 Griffins like heroes 4
lvl 6 same
lvl 7 same
Dungeon lvl 1 same
lvl 2 same
lvl 3 same
lvl 4 same
lvl 5 maticore with range compatibility
lvl 6 hydras
lvl 7 same
I have already done this mod for myself i wanted Fortress more like a mechanical town as i love Dragon golems from h4.

Academy i dont like academy so i heavily modified it so
lvl 1 same
lvl 2 Earth elementals
lvl 3 same
lvl 4 water elementals
lvl 5 fire elementals
lvl 6 air elementals
lvl 7 same
The elementals and there tiers have been adjusted

Taking NCF to make faction creature has risk! Ballistae are too overpowered to make
a good balance between faction! their stats are done for neutral.

haha...
also....don't forget to change faction ID about creatures else you will not be able to use such of abilities...
runes on ballistae or mini-arties on elementals, etc etc

Thx all for your replies, ive adjusted the ballistae and its stats so much weaker, and i didnt know about the id numbers thx for that. Generally all seems to work normal atm but i didnt know about the runes and Mini arties affecting them as i never tried that.
By the way where are the faction Id located thx.

I think runes will not work on the creature if it is not "TOWN_FORTRESS" into its gamemechanics...same thing about a creature receiving mini-arties,it must be "TOWN_ACADEMY" to work.
A creature is not considered owning to a particular faction just because such reference links are done into few xdb files. that is necessary but it must change some tag too, return to gamemechanics.

Ive changed in gamemechanics creatures and townbuilding shared stats and text files the runes work, havent tried mini arties ive have done the town types for creatures but if you got any more tips for me im grateful thx.

I cant Remember did you make 3 different creatures for it, im still new at modding so if it has 1 unupgraded and 2 upgraded creatures i can put it in thx.

ooh, and warning about heroes's capacities just like « Battle Commander » for Sylvan...that gives war dancer to hero...perhaps other capacities could conflict.

Yeah i havent quite got to the heroes yet, gonna be a bit of work there i suspect. Heroes are not really conflicting yet but your right the one that improves blade dancers bonuses dont work and he starts with blade dancers hehe. But im working on it thx for your help simonak.

I made only one, but it isn't hard to recolor it to get 2 upgrades.

Hi all you reckon the Basilisk and its upgrades are better at tier 4 then the keepers. On heroes 3 basilisk seem to be in fortress town thx.
