As some of you may have seen already in another posts, i started creating a map and i asked for scripters. For now i have found two nice gentlemen helping me with this aspect of the map. If more are interested though let me know!

Now i need some help testing. I dont want to make a map that only i like. so i need you to help me with two different aspects.

1) appearance of the map. What you like, what you don't regarding the graphics and appearance of it.

2) balance and playability. How easy and fun it will be for 2 people to play this map. neutrals, treasures, dwellings.. and everything that concerns the gameplay of the map.

Please give some of your time to finish this project and give the community another nice map. whoever wants to help post here please

Currently I am testing Sir Gauvain's new map, but when I'm finished and there is an opponent willing to play, I'll give it a try and will report some feedback.
New maps keep the game alive. Does anyone know, if the TOH maps page is still maintained (i.e.means update for new maps and versions)?

1. you do not need to test mine yet, just before you finish the other testing open in with editor and see the first impression

2. during normal testing you can even do it by single player. until the whole map if finished at least

In general the terrain looks good, I appreciate the tone of light quite much. The creatures for decoration are fine, too, although they may look like misplaced, when unicorns "guard" a necro town for example.
It lacks content though, but I suppose you are going to add some stuff. Some more chests could do well, by assuming toh-like amount of gold I ran short of cash week 2 and hat to wait several turns to develop my town.

I played stronghold and they have some advantage here, cause you placed a lot of shrines. I counted at least 5 spell shrines, some of them not really hard to take, so they advance in level very quick. Some more artifacts are needed as well in my opinion.

Idea with creature dwellings is not new, however, but helps in growing army and is appreciated, too. For player 1, the second town is not accessible, I don't think that is intended. Problem might be, that it is obviously set to random and can give the lucky player who has two towns of same alignment a huge advantage.

So fat my first comments, hope they are helpful. But some more players should join the testing, maybe they have different or additional opinions.

First look in map editor - map have some artistic value ... No excessive usage of FX, no tons of ambient lights, not so dark ... Good place for elf GL with your work Vangelis ...

thanks guys for the feedback. mystic, i will check the town, of course both sylvan towns are supposed to be neutral just for design but i may even take them out and with models. As for the design and graphics, i have really changed it and improved it so today or tomorrow i will post a new link, updated. lastly about the shrines, maybe some of them will have helpful spells chosen always so they give some push to magic factions as well

"calm down" totally irrelevant in the situation... do not just say words! it will be published when it is ready, which is when it is tested... did i say something different?
