Plants vs Zombies
I started it today and it's pure addictive fun, you should try it out  It is essentially a tower defense game, fortify your garden with the right combination of plants to repel the zombie invasion. Of course every plant has different uses, some shoot peas(lol), some are used as obstacles, some explode, others are mines, gather solar energy, freeze and so on. Naturally each zombie has his own strength like jumping over obstacles, being able to swim(yes there is a pool in some stages  ) and varies in speed or toughness.
There are of course the times when they all simultaneously come at you and that's when things get hot  Each stage introduces a new kind of plant and you can choose a certain number out of your total plant types. Also difficulty transition is smooth so you don't need to be a lightning-fast learner, the game gives you time to adjust your strategies and try new things.

well it's fun until you complete it. Though they made some achievements, it's just boring afterwards, but it's still worth the money and I don't regret anything.

Yeah, I also stopped playing it after I had finished it on normal difficulty. Was fun though...I had some exams when I started playing it. 
Some type of multiplayer mode would be interesting, but I don't see how they could implement it.

I preordered the game game awhile back without trying a demo or anything because it was 50% off on Steam. Played the Hell out of it and loved every bit of it.

one of the best games of the year , and is not finish when you finish the game... there are a good amout of replayability... you can do the puzzles and the endless survive is awesome! I never get tired of that... and i adition you have you zen garden that is a good way to get money to buy everything on the game... I start playing it about 6 months ago and I still have fun playing one or two endless puzzles or endless survive... this is the thing that most games are missing today... simple addictive fun... absolutly great game

How do we unlock that missing zombie? Also do those final survival minigames give something after achieving x victories in a row?

Yes they give you bonuses, some are going to drop new plants for the zen garden, or tools (like chocolate for the snail), some are going to give you the possibility to use some funny game codes (write "future", just with the keyboard, its one of them).
And the missing zombies were somewhere on the mini games, puzzles or survivals.
And you should definitely buy that corn cannon, it's a lot of sun to plant it, but after you do, it blow them all to dust in one hit

but you absolutely need that thing to kill the 500 zombies attacking at you at the same time on survival mode
