Experience modding (question)

Random question of the day.

I want to reduce the amount of experience heroes need before they level up. Is there any modder who can tell me where to find these numbers so I can tweak them?

Ah, that would be with the editor installed. I'm installing that one later, but, judging from the path, doesn't that only edit a manual and not a game? Or is that an actual data file in which the experience needs of all heroes get changed?

Do you mean this sort of stuff? If so, it can only be done by editing the .exe. There's a patch or something like around somewhere by the looks of it, but tweaking the values yourself doesn't look to be possible I'm afraid.

Yeah I meant that. Personally I wanted to go the opposite direction, since I detect imbalance the moment one level 30 hero perishes and leaves one side with a level 30 hero, and the other with at most a level 7 hero if he brings it up fast. Even with a bigger army the level 7 hero stands no chance against the level 30 hero.

Hence I wanted to see the level 1-30 exp needs modded to extremely low amounts, so it would be cakewalk to basicly run around with a level 30 hero fairly quickly. As a way of test, of course

Hum, I suppose one way to work around it would be to simply edit the exp values of monsters you slay.... Worth a shot at least I think.
