Exporting and Importing Text files?
When exporting a text file, I tried exporting it as a hm3 file or as a .txt file.,so when I open another map, I can copy rumours, timed events, character bio...
There always is an error message when I import either type. What can be causing this?
thx - p

Exporting text files from the map editor is easy. Just select it, and the file will appear as a text file wherever you wanted it to go. If you want to put the rumors and so on in another map, you have to copy and paste them from the text of the map you selected into the rumors or timed events using the map editor then save it.

You can export the text and edit it, then import it. But you have to already have the events on the map. For example if you have a timed event for day 2 and you export it, you can edit the text. To import the text back in you must already have the timed event on the map because the import will not create it, it will only change the text.

The import button is good for correcting the text you just extracted from a map. When you correct the text, you can import it back into the map you got it from. You can't add new text to a text you just exported and hope it'll be in the map when you import it. It does'nt work that way.
