Elemental : War of Magic
I was wondering if any heard of this game before ?
Elemental : War of Magic
It seems kinda cool, but the fighting is lacking, at least in this beta.
Any thoughts ?
I used to play Birthright : The Gorgons Alliance back in the days and I have searched for a similar game ever since. I am not saying that this game is even on par but it seems to be offering something, not new , but different.

I'm eagerly awaiting that game, as it intends to be the spiritual sequel to the old classic Master of Magic. 
And yes, I've played Birthright. It's also a pretty good game, but not as good as MoM in my opinion.

Master of Magic -
Is that the one where you can choose Earth,Wind and Fire  + a few more factions and each faction has a unique super monster available after a lot of building and researcing ?
Also upon entering a random cave and or dungeon there can be like 10-15 lvl's all played in a hexagon like mode ?
Because if it is, I liked that too, but Gorgon's is still my favorite though

I played Birthright when I was younger and loved it. Only ever beat the game once, though, by trade victory. Every time I tried conquest, I kept getting smashed into obscurity by Gorgon's Crown.
It's a pity they never followed through on the expansions.

Finally I found a clip where I could see that the battles are turn based. And overall it looks rather interesting

Interesting. The research window got me curios, it's not just for spells and reminds me more of Master of Orion. I hope they're not going to make the game too complex, I always liked the simplicity of games such as Master of Magic and HoMM.

Thanks for heads-up on this , I must get it next month when it comes out & it may very well be my primary gaming focus...[missed out on the kings bounty time window]
Ability to zoom in so much seems weird to me though, not sure if gameplay is enhanced by this.

A turn based fantasy strategy game by a gaming company that is friendly to gamers? Yes, please, must have. I enjoy their galactic civ2 game and have the expansions.

Yup, I got it.
There have been 3 major patches already and as is Stardocks policy, it's a progressing game that will start adding free content starting with the next patch.
I'm a bit undecided at this point, having played the game for about 10 days. The manual sucks at this point, an you have to experiment a lot. I was expecting more of a "wow"-effect.
It's certainly not a 10 at his point.

I bought this game couple weeks ago...
even tho MoM (Master of Magic) is a precursor, it doesn't play like MoM
This is more complicated & seems to be aimed at more hardcore 4X stuff with more stuff one can do/customise than mainly having good game play...graphics seem drab & not colourful but I don't place much emphasis on graphics anyway.
Documentation is not good altho as a previous MoM player I expected to understand it easy...but imagine my surprise when building granary/other food %boost didn't alleviate food shortage as there is no +X food producing building in town.
So new player [ie. who haven't read thru game forums] would have to know to research caravans thru diplomacy tree & send them to food-surplus towns to maintain positive food balance.
In short, I'm little disappointed as at v1.09e, it seems a little too much like work sometimes rather than play...[ofc I played the patched MOO3 for short while long after it got released ]
Got sick of right-clicking to move units too...my arm hurt a bit
Would be good if someone did a MoM remake with extra stuff

So it's more of an MoO remake only in a fantasy setup. Not what I expected.

If you meant MOO3, yeah that popped into my mind...extensive research tree, tedium/complexity for reality/options instead of better gameplay...not even different factions like dwarves/elves/dark elves/halflings etc, just human factions and evil human factions?
Like JJ said, there is no wow factor...really has no comparison to MOO or MOM
I'm not really worried about bugs as this will eventually be ironed out, but bugs are often a symptom of trying too much with too many ideas & not focusing on making immersive/gripping gameplay

Heard that Stardock pretty much released a half-finished game.
Gonna wait for a while until all the bugs and stuff have been sorted out before considering buying it.
Doesn't strike me in the same "HOLY **** I GOTTA HAVE THAT" way that GalCiv2 did though.

Even now? At this later date? My luck, It figures.
I'm a MAJOR stick in the mud, cause I'm locked in on Fantasy and can't do Space/machines/metal no matter how hard I try. Saves me $ though
Oil well. I see they have the auto-update like UBI to the latest patches.

Oh don't listen to me, I haven't checked the game out in a while. Stardock does have a good reputation so I bet they've fixed most of it now.
I read a PC Gamer review earlier where the reviewer found the game to be pretty much half finished and in need of a lot of polish. That's where I got it from.
