I have no executables in my Updates folder (no update.exe or H3wUpd.exe), so how am I supposed to install the WoG?

H3WUPD.EXE is located in Heroes III root folder.

If you downloaded the allinone file, there should be an Install.exe somewhere in the folder where all the required .wog files are .

I don't have such file and neither does my friend. I have Heroes III Complete. Also, the install.exe doesn't work. :S

Download the Full Install Link 2 here.
Extract files to an empty folder, run Install.exe.

If that doesn't help, then nothing does.

It just says that the system language has to be English/USA and then closes. As far as I know, there's no possibility to change the system language in Windows 7 (unless one has the Ultimate edition). But why don't I have that H3wUpd.exe if almost everyone else (except my friend...) has it?

E: Ok, I think I know how to change the system language but does anyone know if it causes any problems after I change it? Why the installation of this mod has been made so difficult.

You're all wrong. Everything runs fine on Win7, no idea where do these ideas come from.

However, I'm not going to post a tutorial about how to install Wake of Gods. This question is being asked every month and should be sticked in one of main threads, but it isn't. First page is just full of 4-year old "introduction" posts and guides about sprite editing. Where are moderators?

That's true, but it is not moderator task to compile or make guides. I will try to come with a suggestion, by compiling graphic threads in a sticky one, same for scripts tutorials, same for install guide/problems and submit for a try. The graphic threads are for example outdated, today there are better tools.

If you have Win 7, can you make a short guide on how to change language and eventually install WoG? I am on XP still. Then I will add your guide to the links.

I have Win 7 and it's ridiculously easy to change the language. You just go to Control Panel, choose the Time- and Language- settings, and change the language.

That's old mistate. By changing language people think that they must change language of whole system (equals 'have original english OS'). Changing that language is possible in most expensive versions of Win7 - and that's we have a source of misunderstandings.
