I put it in the Update folder and installed, but I don't see them in the map editor or the game. What did I do wrong?

I have new buildings patch and I have the right path. I even tried by putting it in WoG install and run it.....nothing. This sucks Any other ideas?

Hmm...if they are not on adventure map, this means you don't have the patch for the editor (commanders show). If they are not even in the game, this means....I don't know. It is a simple .wog file, it works always. Have you tried a battle? We did not change the gifs when clicking in commander custom screen, so you will see the original one.

I know. I do have the new editor patch too. This is getting me upset. Nothing installs. Not even the Interface stuff I downloaded last week. Nothing is installing for some reason.

You don't get any error message during install? Install usually aborts if there is not enough memory. But if no error and installs, then I don't know, weird indeed. Try the DEFka program which was posted previously, it will import a creature without update.exe.

No error messages. Eveything says it installs fine. But nothing shows up in the game or map editor.

All commanders look cool....except one...the Tower guy!
An old guy with a spellbinder's hat and a staff has a SWORD???
That doesn't fit at all...sorry...

A knife would fit better yes. The attack animation starts from right hand and without a weapon would look weird too. A staff? There is large choice.
In battle it does not disturb me the sword because in stand animation it is against the body, rotated it. It shows only in attack and mouse over.

I spent the whole day with re installing HoMM3/WoG
The result is I cannot update with WoG files anymore. I don't know if it's because of Vista or what, I manually had to put in all the defs of 1.09 in by hand with the MM Archive. If I did'nt make a backup of my installed WoG with 1.09. WoG would've been no more to play at all. I can no longer install Wog files at all. I tried with this WoG file. Installtion goes smooth, but no new Commanders. I'm at a loss....

Sorry to hear that. Did you try DEFka, the new russian program? Was posted a few days ago in forums. Maybe that does it.
(I am running XP for life, as long as I keep Heroes, I don't understand why Vista, everyone complains about it)

I meant Win 7 I may have to convert Win 7 over to XP. I have no viruses unless the Archives, HC an RT are infected. Which I know are'nt. That's pretty much where I go with this comp. So ...
