Very interesting

So we've got the concept of CHIM to explain how modifying the game is totally possible within the game world, and Dragon Breaks to explain multiple choices and saved game even. Neat.

Christ I save like twice per minute... Akatosh must be pissed.

Elder Scrolls lore is so ****ing amazing... on the surface it looks so generic fantasy with its elves and orcs and whatnot but underneath it's this metaphysical cluster**** and I love it.

Quote:
Vivec and Tiber Septim, fellow Dragon Breakers. Breaking the Dragon let Tiber Septim conquer Tamriel… how, exactly? Was it like the Warp in the West, did he create multiple realities where he conquered each province seperately, and then merged them? Or did he just keep reloading reality until events went his way? I asked this in the ES lore forum, and was told, “Both and either because of the other.” You get that sort of answer a lot over there.

TES lore in a nutshell hahah.

Likewise. XD

Good thing they don't have access to OUR world's Creation Kit, or I'd be expecting some Morag Tong guys spawning behind me right about *bloodsplatter*

EDIT:
Memo to myself, next time either stock up on Telvanni Bug Musk or play a female. I made the mistake of blasting Neloth with my Voice of the Emperor to get his vote, then wound up going after every other Telvanni Councillor EXCEPT for Dratha while I waited for it to recharge. And some of the Ashlander clans. @_@

EDIT AGAIN:

Found out how to add scars to an NPC. Not the most intuitive method is it? :\ And as an additional note, you have to look at the FULL BODY preview, not the face preview to see them.

EDIT yet again:
I just got my last Ashlander tribe thereby completing the Fourth and Fifth Trials (stupid clothes were bugged) and...LOL at the Zainab token! XD

Yeah I'm getting some of that feeling myself. I can see why it was great for its time, but there are a lot of things in the later games I really miss in this one, and I wouldn't have made it nearly as far as I have if I hadn't been able to look things up on the wiki.

My main issue with Morrowind is the sense I'm all alone in a large world. If I could coop the game with 1-2 friends, or even split up to different houses and see who'd do best, then it could be more interesting.

Cool to hear you're about finished with the game though you still lack the big final at the red mountain right?

Btw. when you first started playing it, it made me wanna retry playing, I managed to complete the game twice before you switched to Skyrim.. but that's with cheap tricks..

It's super easy to get a million in cold hard cash within an hour of playing when you know which merchants never run out of wheat and rice so you can endlessly make stamina potions for amazing money. After that, the nerevarine can get the best training by the best fighters all over the world and be the toughest and strongest person you can think of without having had actual combat experience.

Yeah, there are plenty of ways. I do personally prefer the feeling that increase in power is somewhat quest related.

E.g. using the 110 enchant bug by taking some of those imperial cult quests which grants items which gives temporary bonus to enchant and stuff.. but again to enchant some very funny stuff, NPC's are required, hence lots and lots of money.

Which sadly means a lot of time in Caldera..

Supposedly there's a mud crab with twice creeper's money, but I haven't ever found him.

EDIT: Also, slaughtering the dren plantation is what every single of one of my morrowind characters has done.

I've never found it either. I used to think it was on Azure's coast, close to her shrine, but later I think I found out it's actually quite close to Vivec, but anyway, I think it might be bothersome to have to mark his spot, then every time divine/almsivi away and whenever it's to sell, recall back. I'd rather prefer to be able to mark the spot where I am, if I want to continue, divine/almsivi out and travel by mage guild to Caldera.

Yeah, the dren plantation.. it's part of the main quest I believe, so it's hard to miss. But I think it's skipable if one gets 20+ in reputation. I think it's also part of both the Hlaalu quest line and the thieves guild quest line.

I remember the first time I visited it, before I was very far in the game.. I had got an open 100 spell and was working my way inside downstairs, just to be stabbed and paralyzed by some invisible guy's jinx blade.. suffice to say I got freaking scared

But once one learn what's OP and I go down there with 99% reflect / 100+% sanctuary on as permanent enchantments, they can't even touch me. Which is cool the first time around, but then it goes stale if continued, in my opinion.

Haven't really been in the mood for skyrim, not since my arab phase was cut short thanks to a ski-fi series that got me into space-faring, (which in-turn drove me to games like SC2 and X3: TC).

Anyway, anyone know of a good mod that dds fluffy ears, preferably fox's ears, and a long bushy tail, and whiskers if it is not too much to ask, as it's late I won't bother now looking for such a mod now, but I'll look into in the morning. Help in this matter would be much appreciated. <3

I'm so caught up in Elder Scroll's ****ed up complex lore that I can't even immerse myself properly in the world anymore.

Nothing is real, all is God

I am everything, there is no me

But I am me still

Lucidity

Control

Imagine

Divinity

CHIM

VIVEC

I am everything and everything is me. The world is as vast as my imagination, my control is absolute and so the world is ultimately and definitely predictable.

All is predestined by my thought. I am me, but so is everyone, and so I am alone. I am God of everything and nothing.

...yeah I don't even anymore.

I remember my character having Sunder and Keening before I got that far in the quest, because I was levitating somewhere, but my levitate fell short before I got there and I was in the middle of inside ghost gate territory. This ash vampire wanted to have a drink with me and I killed him and found Keening or Sunder. Then I equipped it and I died.

Man, morrowind was great. I hope you enjoyed the journey so far, kareeah.

I got Sunder a few days ago. I have been having fun, but the bugs are killing me--there have been multiple times where I didn't find the right text option to advance the quest and didn't realize it, and one that would have locked me out of the main quest if I hadn't been saving frequently (and on different save files) as a precaution for just such a case. The Alchemy bug with the names has annoyed me no end and the Journal is a mess.

On the other hand, some of my problems are going away now that I'm getting more familiar with the game--Levitate potions made about half my travel woes vanish, and once I figured out that Mark and Recall were Morrowind's equivalent to Lloyd's Beacon that got rid of some more. I love the number of options this game has relative to Skyrim. I don't know what I'd do without the wiki to tell me where I need to go for quests though.

Wait a moment.. how could all this happen? I'm pretty sure you fell at that Sixth House base near Gnaar Mook. AND THEN YOU MADE ME HIDEOUS!! HIDEOUS I SAY!

Which quest(s) was this?

Except you'd 5 positions for Lloyd Beacon.. I think there are mods that allow multiple marking positions.

Reminds me when I first completed Might and Magic 7, I couldn't read English, and I've no idea how I eventually figured out what I'd to do.

If Pokémon taught me basic English, Morrowind was the advanced course. I read every quest religiously and often I plain had to go back to the quest giver to reread the description. I never finished Morag Tong though, because every Morag Tong hit after the first couple was hidden among a huge bunch of islands and I just didn't care anymore.

And I never encountered a lot of bugs in morrowind, except falling through the floor to the void of infinity back to the room I fell through and dying. + a lot of CTD's, WHICH I'VE COME TO EXPECT IN ALL BETHESDA GAMES.

EDIT: THE SIXTH HOUSE SHALL RISE!

What are CTD's? I too fell through the floor a couple of times. Sometimes I managed to recall/almsivi/divine intervention while falling, saving my character. I also think it's possible to simply levitate back up, but I'm not sure.

The Morag Tong quest reward is really great. It's a dagger with some 700 damage of absorb health cast on strike, very OP, one-hits next to everything.

EDIT: THE SIXTH HOUSE SHALL RISE!

Reminds me , I played this mod where you could join the sixth house, like it at first seems like Dagoth Ur asks you to.

I did all the quests, even had a small attack against that port city next to Vivec with the large fort.

Then at the final stage, having acquired the Wraithguard for Dagoth Ur, as he asked me to hand it to him, I went "nah, screw this, I'll keep it". Then Dagoth Ur turned on me, of course, but I recalled out!

Then I went through the game by the back way, giving the glove to the robo-dwarf, etc.
