What is a talkative player ?
Hia all:-))
I have seen ( in my humble 1 year of playing ) many info's and players in lobby saying;
Humor wanted ! talkative players prefered ! and something up that 'street'
But my question is ...WHAT is a talkative player ?
1) Do I need to 'flood' my opponant wiff jokes and questions during his turn Coz I surely will loose time if I did it in my turn
2) Do I 'stop' in a small/large battle and talk ?
3) Do I ( if I need to, go take a dump, and let my friends take over the 'chat'?
I usually say BEFORE the game starts that Im not much of a 'talker' when the game has started...is that so bad ?
But Im still having a ball, playing eventho not much is said during the game
Most times I just hear a faint 'lol' and a 'addon' ; I just lost to..xxx imps on open field ( well that is only Eliogabalus that does that...j/k)
but what is your defenition of talkative/non talkative players ?

Have a game with me sometime UT...
I think I am known as a "talker" lol
in fact you are quite right and the timer often gets me because of these things lol...

Aww.. I would really like to see that, but I think I´ve blown my chances to play motor 
To me, a talkative player is someone who talks all the time, less in his turn of course. A silent player is one that says nothing except maybe answers your questions once in a while.
I like my players something in between

I would say I'm somewhat talkative; I'll answer any question you pose of me, but if you're a jerk, or the typical immature brat, I'm not going to say much. In fact, these days I alt+tab out during opponent's turn until we can see each other. But when I'm actually interested in my opponent, I'll strike up idle chat, but I'll usually do most of it after I do the moving and building of my heroes and towns -- battling is the best place to do it, especially if it's human vs. human, so you can take it leisurly and not waste turn time.

Hmmm I just had this discussion with a player yesterday.
I for one think it's great that people will tell u upfront if they are a talkative.....slow.....player.
I had a game yesteday with a non-talkative .... sloooow player (6min turns ... he wantd that so we could chat more).
And I thought to myself .... I already have moe ten enought time to chat in 4 min but what the hell....
It turns out he doesn't chat at all but really needs to 4-6 min to play out his strategy ..... which he did really well I must say....and was only asnwering to my questions...
After surfing on the net .. talking to some ZM buddies .. doing the dishes (all in between turns) I get a bit irritated and start to make mistakes .. and before u know it the only thing u want is to get this game over and put that guy on my NEVER-PLAY-AGAIn list.... so gradualy he becomes aware of my aggrivation and after some explaining about different play styles he offers a draw to compensate (he was winning big time due to my mistakes).
Well what do you now .... I found that to be a very Honourable suggestion and we talked some more abot different play styles...
So YES (to come back on topic): I think it's very imortant to ask somebody if they are talkative or slow or whatever players.....It might make ALL the diference in the fun of the game!@

& then you ask yourself "what is a talkitive person.
Is it when we talk in every turn.
Can you irritate my your non stop chattering.
Do players get amused.
Do uncorns fly.
Do walls walk.
Can flowers swim.
does red light mean you have an idea
hmnmm oh well just like the man said if you must have fun, find the dirt.

I think I'm pretty talkative. I'd talk more, but my friends keep telling me to shut up, because I am irritating them, which I don't know for certain. Most of things that I talk about are completely random and off-the-topic.
Ex: "Cool arties you got there." (Playing Desert War, just went to hut of the Magi)
"Have you ever played Baldur's Gate?" (Just looked at my stack of computer games)
"Never attack the Titans!" (First time playing Desert War)
"Yeaaah!" (Just found 3 sets of crystal resources Day 4 and playing Stronghold)
"Wow that's a lot of black dragons!" (First time playing Desert War)
I think that the definition of talkative is someone who generally talks more than the average player. I am talkative, because I haven't played someone who talks than me. (I have only played 4 full games and soon to be 5)

"talkative" is not enuf to describe The "word machine-gun" Vulture  It is VERY unfortunate that he is not playing Homm3 anymore

i think a talkative person is not so much a person that talks a lot ..but a person you can have a nice conversation with and get to know a bit..fortunately i have met a lot off people like this and will definately play them again..
I enjoy the game asweel as getting to know my opponent on a personal level and become "friends"..I think this reduces the cheating factor and even if it doesn't i still had a nice talk..
But that's just my Humble opinion ..
And calling people Lame or things like that doesn't exactly improve the sphere..You know who you are..
