Forgotten reals is something that is a few years (maybe a bit more than a decade) dead to the new DnD-ers... I don't thing the Duregar made it in the new party. :/ Meh, name is just good.

really? O.O didn't realized that...FR is the only DnD setting I know about at all...because of BG and NWN^^ never got into playing DnD...
as I said, I'll think about the name...
btw, I added some plagues...the general system about them under I.I, four of them almost at the end of th epost under II.IX
any opinions about them?

Well, the ability to spread from stack to stack for some creatures may not make sense. For instance, How does a clockwork construct (golem), spirit (whisp) or undead creature (vampire) catch and die from a plague? Also, maybe the plagues should only last for a few weeks, since otherwise things could get very unbalanced very quickly for one player and not the other if the cards are dealt out right.

ah, ye, of course you're right. I didn't think properly..the plagues should only work on living creatures...and they should definitely vanish after, let's say, a month...otherwise for example the black death could be a bit...monstrous...

EDIT: I'd also liek to know which you want next after creature details...skills, Magic System or the first Campaigns?

Troll? In Rampart?  It's not because I'm against going against the HoMaM lore, but Troll doesn't seem to match with those creatures in any lore I know of.

Troll in Rampart was an idea that struck me as an alternative to the classical line-ups. I'm not sure wether there are settings in which elves and trolls are allied (over a long time) but I think it fits, at least as I imagine them in my settings...both have, for a long time now, retreated into their homes in the wild forests, both are an old people that is beyond their summer, watching the expansion of younger factions as the Empire, both value freedom (the main value of Chaos-societies, as the Rampart is one) and the ways of life. As mentioned in the Troll description, they were enemies once, though they are not now - and here it is vital to saythat this only oges for the Forest Elves...the other Elves, such as Sun Elves and Dark Elves still bear the old enmity for the Trolls, one reason for them to also few their fores-living Elf Cousins with mistrust.
...does this explain iot a bit and maybe, make it more fitting? If they seem too deplaced still, I probably could exchange them with a different creature (another beast perhaps)...

Well, I guess it depends on how you envision the Elves - and the Trolls. In my mind, they are very different from each other, but obviously you can create your setting differently. I would say, though, with Faun and Dryad being there, perhaps something beastly from the Greek mythology would fit better - Harpy? Or Medusa? Or even Hydra?

hmmm maybe you're right...however, harpy is allready in bastion - where I wanted to avoid Troll because I have ogre in (btw I think bastion is my weakest lineup. what do you think about it?) - and medusa is at least potentially in Dungeon, whilst Hydra was planned for one of the expansion factions as potential champion...but I will definitely consider this!!! ...just have to go to bed now...

I admit either of those creatures sort of share the same problem as the Troll, namely that they have appeared in other factions in previous HoMaM games. Of course, apart from the obvious(?) Centaur, there are also possibilities like the Manticore or the Chimera, but of course those are more beasts than actual humanoid races.

and also, they are in different factions allready, as well...I think, for now I'll stay with the Troll...as I imagine them, I still think they fit quite well into Rampart...
