Poll Question:
Angels
I think that Heroes VI will be great and my favorite faction will probably be Haven.
Although the thing that annoy me the most and that I think REALLY needs a change is the names "Seraph" and "Celestial" to "Angel" and "Archangel" as it has always been since their introduction in Heroes III. It's probably to late now but I still think the names should be changed. What do you think?

I don't really care about the name... quite fitting for the units I think.
However, I don't really like the H6 angels anyway. the Celestial in particular just screams SISTERS OF BATTLE in my face... makes me wanna whip out mah flamer instead of playing Heroes

What about an option for Angel -> Seraph?
Archangel now seems to be a extremely high ranking title.
Still voted for Angel-Archangel though, Celestial->Seraph sounds like they didn't try hard enough to find a good alternative.

No Archangels, no Archdevils, no Titans and no Dragons, at least if I've understood correctly. Cyclopes are still in, for some reason.

I'm pretty fine with their apprearence but one thing that worries me a little from looking from the screenshots featuring the angels (or seraph...) is that their wings looks to flat unlike the griffins but that could just be an effect from the screenshots perhaps.

hmmm, actually I think they are different from Angels/Archangels. My guess is, in Heroes VI period of time, Angel/Archangel aren't Haven's ally yet.
Even in their creature definition, angels are mentioned too, that proves Ubi makes Seraph/Celestial for something, maybe a cannon fodder for the rise of Angel/Archangels.

Angel->Archangel seems the best to me. Celestial seems to be general name under which all types of angels could fit.
Actually, Seraph "outranks" archangel according to most "popular" angel hierarchy (St.Thomas) by huge margin, even though they aren't really comparable. (weren't seraphs supposed to be singing all day along or something).
Even though it's fantasy world, I'd prefer sticking to hierarchy when it's already taken. Thus my vote is Angel->Archangel.

That's why I like these names. We have Archangel Michael and woman angel of the Kiril's story. Because the angels are called Celestial and Seraph, the fact that Michael is an Archangel makes him a special character/creature.

Let's not change this. The original names of angel and archangel are probably reserved for some other use. Since we like it so much, my speculation is as follows:
Angels - humans comparison
Angel - peasant/citizen
Seraph - soldier
Celestial - special operative
Archangel - leader

The issue i have is messing up hierarchy.
Celestial would be fine as a name since it is really wide and general. But upgrade is from Seraph which is among highest ranked Celestials to begin with. If anything it should be the opposite Celestial->Seraph. Names can pass on their own but as basic->upgrade combo i find Seraph->Celestial clumsy.
Anyhow, since its a fun thread this could be mentioned:

Angels are just another core race now (in Ashan), so naming a creature "Angel" is to Ubisoft the same as calling one "Elf" or "Human".

Bring back Cyborg Angels I say!
ON a serious note, names used aren't that bad. My only concern (this is not just regarding angels) is heavy usage of specific names, which could restrict mapmaking to Ashan (since most of the creatures are Ashan specific).
One can have any type of medieval setting with cavalier and monk. Not so much with radiant glory and sun rider.
