Intro!
*drumroll* Hello fellow Heroes! I am MacmasterMC. I would put something witty or clever in here, but I am drawing a total blank. So I will just say that I am glad to be here!
Edit:
I remembered more!  I used to play Heroes 3 in my one year failed stint at college after high school. I was introduced by a rather inept roommate. Eh, well. Dorm life can be bizarre. Anyhow, i played it quite a bit, never got very good, and life moved on after that year.
Fast forward to about a month ago or so, and I felt like playing a game I had heard about before but never managed to get around to, Portal. (Awesome game!) What does this have to do with Heroes you ask? I am coming to that! So I scrounged around for the copy of Half-Life i had from that same time period, hoping that it would have a copy of Portal built in, but alas, no. (I had discovered there was a free download of Portal to commemorate the launch of the sequel!...2 weeks after it was no longer available  ) I hunted down a copy of the Orange Box. Have been enjoying both games immensely. BUT I found out that to install without the disk, required Steam. (Here it comes!) When I got Steam, and during/after the download, I saw info and promos for Heroes 5 and 6. I realized *light bulb!* (Despicable Me is awesome! if you have not seen, you should!) that I still had the copy of HOMM3!
Sorry for the long wall of text. Simply put, I have installed it again, and found this community very helpful with information. So, I joined!
Disclaimer: Sometimes I tangent, when I get a bit excited. Perhaps I am just a silly geek/nerd, but I really enjoyed HOMM3.

Welcome MacMasterMC,
Really nice introductory post there (I'm kinda jealous). I'm fairly new here myself, but you are right its a great place. You won't have any difficulties finding assistance at HC.

Why jealous? I thought walls of text were almost as bad as getting caught in a fight with ur main hero with only a few slow lvl1 units while scouting by another hero with shackles. LOL

[To Meroe]- Your siggy is similar to my pet dragon from about my high school period as well, there was this awesome website back then, which is dead and expired, where you could adopt dragons! I even have a certificate! I would have to hunt through my files, but at some point I even expect to ressurect the idea, if not simply just have it for myself.
[To gnome]- have no fear, I like trolls to stay right where they do in the billy goats gruff tale-under the bridge, or under the hoof 
[To Warlord]- ah, you think gnome is misleading me? I have read quite a few posts in the forums here before joining, for help in game/setup, or for various other reasons...and I have seen some of your posts. 
You have already shown your tendencies for dwelling under bridges and leaping out at unsuspecting passers-by. I will have to pass on the VW offer.
Wow, my intro thread is almost to 15 posts...how did that happen?

Mac if you do like the dragons, you should visit us in the Dragon Cave 5.1/5 thread in the VW. Not quite the same, but you get to raise your own dragons etc etc.
