i got it off heroworld.net. i've been checking out their site quite often cuz they're quite up to date with their info. but its in chinese, so its kinda tricky to thread through.

They're all there.

Village Hall (default building) : + 500 gold/day
Town Hall : + 1.000 gold/day
City Hall : + 2.000 gold/day
Capitol : + 4.000 gold/day

Basic Fortifications : Builds a defensive wall and increases growth of all creatures by 1/week
Advanced Fortifications : Adds a central tower and a moat, also increases the wall strength and increases growth of all creatures by 1/week
Superior Fortifications : Adds a 2 defensive towers, also increases the wall strength and increases growth of all creatures by 1/week

Nice, I am glad that they have left the City halls intact. However, what the hell are these stupid "Fortificatins" names? Fort/Citadel/Castle were perfect! I want them back.

P.S. - What do you mean by 1/week? Does this mean that the 1st "fortification" will grant 1 Core as well as 1 Champion unit?

Lame. So that's how they balance the "core is too weak" issue - to make their growth almost similar? So essentially we end up with a set of creatures that are all very close to each other in strength and very close to each other in growth? Really UbiSoft? I think I should make that my new signature ...

Not all that similar. Champions take a while to build and are not as powerful as they used to be, therefore a basic growth of 4 WITH the goddamn exorbitant castle price makes sense. By the time you upgrade them it is going to be a while and in the meantime other units will have already been upgraded, adding to their growth.

The problem is that we play on Broken Alliance which is 1) a rush map and 2) a rich map which means that it's possible to skip cores and build your champions. At that point, it's worthy going for the basic and advanced forts over building all 3 cores or 1/2 elites. Not sure many other maps will allow early champions.

Imo, the basic fortifications are too cheap to grant increased growth (especially the +1 champion part), so either their price should match the one of the advanced fortifications, or the +growth should be removed or shifted to the superior fortifications. In previous games, the fort was never increasing growth ad it was a good thing, for how cheap it was.

I see the fort as a form of equilibrium between core and elite units. Elites need all the support they can get to not fall behind.

Well, what about a sense of proportion, like:

Fort 1: Adds +1 CORE growth.
Fort 2: Adds +1 CORE and ELITE growth.
Fort 3: Adds +1 CORE and ELITE and CHAMPION growth.

Thus, with all fortifications you get +3/+2/+1 to sort of balance the power difference. But of course, I don't see what was ever wrong with the old +50 % / +100 % mechanism.

Severe core overkill. Tried and true..

I personally would not mind playing with the tier growths a bit but right now it's alright.
