Playing HOMM3 over the network in Windows 7
Since it took me a few hours to figure out a way to play the gog.com version HOMM3 over the network in Windows 7, I have posted a blog describing how to do it:

The trick that I do is to use a virtual TCP/IP serial port and then play a "null modem" (direct connect) game of HOMM3. This trick, alas, only works for 2-player games, and the virtual TCP/IP serial port software is only free for 32-bit Windows 7 users.
