Re-read what I said, I said not all Republicans are warmongers.

On top of that, they do not want to punish him for taking military action in Libya without congressional approval. In fact, they wanted him to do more, still without approval. Why? Because it means more money spent by the US government on the arms lobby. A lobby both democrats and republicans have a habit of feeding even when the country is drowning in debt. It goes without saying that Obama had fairly large party-first Democrat support.

Edit: Also, now look who is piling on the red herrings =p

You poor, poor dear. You keep calling yourself independant but you seem to only defend republicans and bash democrats.

I've been criticizing both parties here and you somehow seem to think I live to bash the Republicans? No, I'm only disappointed that these parties are not doing their jobs. They are not serving the American people and they are not held accountable for their actions. That's the sad political truth. They for example want to cut all public employee salaries except their own, or they want to stop everybody but themselves from having the public foot the bill for their healthcare. Or they say the wealthy should be taxed more but take advantage of the same loopholes they rail against.

Fact: Congresspeople are the only people who are able to get away with insider trading. They can set up ups and downs for certain stocks and buy/sell when they know the change will happen beforehand. They are the only people legally allowed to behave so horribly.

The essence of hypocricy

You seem to be calling me a hypocrite. If so, your statement is either misguided or a deliberate lie intended to slander me. In any event, it certainly associates negativity with me.

I have never said everything Bush did is ok. If you claim I have, post a link to my comment. I am not a Republican. I am an independent conservative, as I have said on a number of occasions. If you claim I have said I am a Republican, post a link to my comment.

I believe in the government following the Constitution. The democrat party pretty much rejects the Tenth Amendment and many other parts of the Constitution.  If you have actually read my comments in various thread you would see I support the Tea Party and have said I'd like to see a number of democrats and Republicans voted out.

If President Obama should be impeached,  Mr. Bush should have been. Mr. Clinton? Yes. As a matter of fact, with all that I've read concerning many finally "released documents" <imo> every President back to and including FDR... should have been. I don't look further back because; I've not looked further back.

If anyone really wants to read some fun stuff, than grab "probably" any money-grabbing recent book that's based on the release of the early CIA activities.

I am still awed by those future American citizens; that went to war over a single tax on Tea.  (the hated "stamp-act" had already been eliminated) However, I'm (I don't know what); that over the the centuries that followed, the People have become the masses that have stood by; as Presidents became dictators and many far worse than George III. Whatever they do or write has became "shhhh- it's a secret". Democracy is; you'll find out 20...hmmm30...40? nah...halfacentury?...maybe.

You gotta love the fact; that the actions of the People's governnment becomes "executive privilage" and magically becomes book-fodder for some elite, a generation or two later. You know, kinda like paying for our own private credit history, while it's big-business for anyone else that wants the scoop on a National-interest, or better yet; paying to have our phone #...PRIVATE. Seems some very important wires were crossed and have yet to be repaired.

I'll restate: Your business is Public, the Presidents...Private.

"By the People, For the People"...horseradish. "By Modern Charles-1st in business suits for the power behind their throne".

End of Rant typing

Funny how the American Marxists (democrats) always love redistributing America's wealth and pillaging American' military. ... Unfortunately most democrat leaders from the top down hate America

Wow Markkur, you sound like... me. =p

Looks like you also distanced yourself from the political charade the two parties play. Good for you =)

When you have so few parties, it's easier to manipulate the entire government as there are fewer entities to subvert. Especially as they take so many conflicting interests under their wing.

<IMO> If more folks (worldwide)would read G.Washington's 1796 farewell-address...the present U.S. two-party system that "parties at tax-payer expense" would fade to a bad memory.

My idea of improving any government? Simple, reverse all of the unheeded warnings he listed. Btw, every warning he gave then has been unheeded & trampled, for so long, that his shared wisdom has no more impact than a misplaced-book. Things are the way they are for a very understandable reason. Greed will thrive as long as ignorance rules.

Why do I want to watch the end of "The great dictator" after hearing that?

TY Bixie. I had seen a good Bio on Chaplin that have a reference to this speech quite a while ago. It was done in 1940, correct? I know that I thought to find it but must have forgotten.

Absolutely, awesome...Truth.

Another old flick that packs a punch about the masses; is the 1930 "All Quiet on the Western Front"

Somehwere, somehow, the "People" seperate themselves from their responsibility concerning how they are governed. I have been an activist about many things but have failed miserably on this front like most people have, are and will. "Detesting the legacy of politics" has somehow translated...don't participate at-all in the system that is going to dictate all to you everyday you breathe.
Odd and Sad to discover, that to live my life this way, at this late date, is mostly insane in the bright light of a clear day.
