The only usage I've found for setting the allocation to 'disabled' is for putting more entities/items/stuff in the same spot, sort of on top of each other. Good for placing trees in a natural looking way f.ex.


I was building a bridge, and the rocks underneath the bridge made it impossible to cross (in the editor this is called "tile blocked by entity"). By setting the the allocation to 'disabled', you're able to stack several things  on top of each other as well as make it so that your hero can walk through stuff. Here's a picture to explain what I meant:

I downloaded Nocturnal's Hall Of Raiders map from Map4Heroes site... I extracted the file to \Documents\Might & Magic Heroes VI\Scenario.

The map shows up in game when I select Scenario, but nothing happens when I click Start Game. The Start Game button is dimmed, but it's not loading anything. Cursor remains as normal cursor, not busy, and I can continue to use other parts of the UI.

Does anyone know what happened?

Without being in front of H6 right now, isn't this due to not having selected a player for the map? I know it sounds like a silly question as I gather you have done this before trying to start the game. I just recall having this issue while testing maps myself, and it had something to do with not having selected enough players. I also think you can try running it as a "scenario" rather than "skirmish"?

I'm really shooting blind here.

Lack of maps affecting replayability for H6

There aren't enough maps outhere and it gets boring real fast! The best Heroes series was H3 in terms of replayability because of the random map generator in-game. Ya just clicked on it and hocus pocus you get a new random unknown map to play. And it was fun cause 90% of the time it  was playable and it was always a blind start, no knowledge of the maps resources, castles, layout etc... very fun.

i wanna make siege gate (closed) which will be opened after 5 month, or with some spell

or closed spirit gate which will be opened with smth.

in campaign we had such a moments, so please help me if you know smth like this !!!

I have not played HOMM6 since the beta.  Since no more patches are planned for the game I'm going to give it another shot to decide whether to purchase the Shades expansion or not.

May I ask for a list of  Heroes 6 custom maps you'd recommend? My preference is for single player focused maps.
